Alright. I was reading a post, and someone had this great idea for a campaign maker. Now, if bungie was able to pull something like this off, it would be a huge hit. It would be a great form of community made DLC. Now, it could hurt there profits because of people making there own campaigns, but in the end, it would be worth it.

You could make a whole new campaign. You would in a sense would be making your own game. You could choose where enemies spawned, how they spawned, what enemies would be in your level, what weapons they have. You'd have a major amount of customization at your disposal. And with it, like i said before, you would be making your own DLC for the community. Discuss here, please be appropriate, and don't use -blam!-

*AoC=Area of Combat

Please read all of this, and if you have something to say, make it at least constructed and well thought out post. I cannot tell you how many times someone has made no sense whatsoever because they didn't have a well thought out post.

Mike Lowery: [singing] Bad boys, bad boys what ya gonna do? What ya gonna do when we come for you?
[Marcus starts ad-libbing the first verse]
Mike Lowery: Dude, you gotta learn the words.
Marcus Burnett: We usually only do the chorus

So much for a well thought out and constructed response. I see someone obviously didn't read the OP

I did and its not gonna happen,if your desperate for a new campaign make one yourself, heck it can be done via forge and gametypes

Alright. How can you make your own campaign with your own enemies? Your friends arent available every single day to give up what they know to just do this. A gametype can't make a story. This is where a campaign editor would be handy. It would be a real campaign, even if it was a level or two. How you ever played. "The Battle for Wesnoth?" People make their own campaigns, ranging from one map to several. It's possible to make a campaign editor for a console game.

Also, im not desperate for a new campaign. I'm simply posting my idea. Thats what half of the community does on the respective forums. Post their ideas.

get out of here stalker

What about just a map editor with objectives, like push a button or get to the LZ, add vehicle/weapon/enemy spawn points and add objects like trees or something?

thats exactly what I was trying to say
but seriously why waste your time on something THATS NOT GONNA HAPPEN

We already have a map editor, that we all know called Forge. You can already add objectives to a map(hence the ability to make CTF, KOtH maps in Forge) and we can add those spawn points because of other teams.

In the campaign editor, i envision the fact that you could get more in-depth about the detail. You have it based on a preset map full of different environments. In those environments, you could toggle the lighting, weather, life(dead tress, alive trees, etc.), and enemies. you could also have the starting point. Plus, with a campaign editors, it would open more opportunities for machinima makers and aspiring machinima makers. Say you wanted to have your machinma start off with you getting dropped off in a pelican. You could do this.

Also, Snaky jones, why dont you put a sock in it. You are not contributing to this idea what-so-ever. If you have anything positive to say, then post it. But if your going to be pessimistic about this, and not give it a chance, then why are you still posting here? Plus, you dont know that it will never happen.

it would be hard to make it to where you can put bots on the map but i agree with the other people that you should be able to put objectives in the maps

Why do you see the need to butcher my thread in order to support your own agenda?

People will not take you seriously if you can't come up with your own ideas. This will also attract negative attention to my own thread by those who just see your idea as "no" (trolls).

Additionally, you did not have my permission to post my gamertag/forum name and my thread word-for-word in your own. I know the saying "its easier just to say sorry," but really?

Forgeable campaign is a good idea, but please be creative. My idea is designed for forge, and trying to use it for campaign is taking it to a whole different level.

Simply, hell no.

I did not mean to butcher your idea. I was also quoting your idea because it was a good idea. Now, i do not intend to create negativity. Your idea was a good one, and i wished to build off of it. Plus, i had to use your forum id because If i didn't, and you read this, you would accuse me of ripping your own idea. Now, it may seem like I am, but at least im giving you credit for this. Someone else who couldve come up with this idea may not have, and would that be fair? Not really. Now, the mods can go ahead and lock it. I was just putting my idea on the table, just as you had in your thread. At least I can say your post was an inspiration for my post. If it makes you feel better, ill remove your idea.

Feel free to build off of my idea, and even mention my thread while trying to describe it. But be creative. Think of your own, original, way that campaign forge could be made.

Remeber, more customization is better. period.

That also goes for new ideas.

its okay... its just pockets time of the month.

Funny. There is a difference between creating an idea, an copying one you see to support an idea of yours that is more of a "frame." I want to encourage people to think up ideas and describe them through their own unique views.

You don't learn math by always using the calculator.
