Subject: Citadel... Worst map yet?

Vancouver BC, Canada.

You never know until you play it.

The OP says that parts were taken from the Covenant....... THATS BECAUSE IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE. It's common sense seriously what other parts of Halo have the word Citadel in it. The level the Covenant.

Halo needs more big vehicle maps.

Exactly, I was expecting longshore to do that, but it was just the opposite.

I don't think Citadel sucks, it seems kinda fun, it might be the new orbital.

Halo 3 needs a decent CQC map and this is the one we needed.

Shouldn't you wait to play a map before you start bashing it?

Will is everything.

Personally I love the styling. Traditionally all Halo multiplayer maps have been themed on certain or related parts of the campaign. It seems like it was themed after the Cartographer or the Citadel in either The Ark or The Covenant respectively. I really wouldn't judge how good a map is by it's looks. You can't honestly have a good opinion about something until you experience it.

"Dear Bungie.net, we regret being stubborn bastards, we regret coming to this forum, and we most definitely regret that Darth Kooky blew up our raggedy-ass opinion!"

But you haven't played it yet. None of us have. When we do play it we'll decide whether or not if we like it. End of story. Besides, in the videos, not all of the map was shown.

Also, a few of us were talking during matchmaking and Halo: Reach is definitely going to be, not a first person shooter, not a third person shooter, but a second person shooter. Bungie is going to revolutionize the way you watch other people play games.

I agree with the OP. Citadel looks like crap. The other maps look fantastic and I'm sure it will be a fun map pack as a whole, but a boring look with what appears to be a rather boring layout just doesn't pass muster.

They usually use ideas from campaign so the locations don't look completely alien to you when you play and don't look out of place.
