Subject: Why are so many people skiping school?

Not going to lie, I did for the launch of Halo 3, but noticed a major problem with that. An addiction is something that effects your life in a negitve way or if you become mentally dependent on it (yes that can go for video games, or weed, ect.) now skipping school or work will regardless effect you in a negitive way. I understand the need to want to play it but doesnt anyone else think thats going too far?

"BAM" said the lady...

Some people think that it's worth skipping school for this, some other don't.
And yes it is going to far since most people who say that they will won't.
But I 1st thought of it then changed my mind

Because some people think that playing a video game is more important than getting an education and not failing in life.

I wanted a gumball so I said "Yo devil you got change for a soul?"

Satan appeared and said "Yeah, yeah mosuckra! I got yo change right here just sign this contract and I'll give you your quarters!"

So I signed it, lost my soul, and got 4 quarters. I have never regretted this decision.

I skipped school for Halo 3, Fable 2, Devil May Cry 4, and I skipped another day to beat Fable 2, Why not for Halo 3: ODST?

Anyway, In Japan if there is going to be a "Hot" release they cancel school, because they know the majority will not be there anyway.

People skip just to get a break a good game comes out about 4 times every year, Might as well make the most of it and have fun. =)

"Take my advice. Rookie. You ever fall for a woman?

...Make sure she's got balls."

Some people like to enjoy things such as video games more then education.

With out instantly gratifying technocracy, patience is something that few individuals have and so they will sacrifice all if that means getting what they want as soon as they possibly can.

It's a terrible problem with our society, but one we cannot really act against because it is the choice of these people to give up school and work for a silly computer program and we have no right to interfere with that choice.

ya know, im proud to be an inverted player, its like we're a rare breed or something

Do NOT send me Recruitment Letters, doing so will get you blocked faster than you can say "Huh?"

because people don't realize how much an education matters in today's world. i was only 13 when halo 3 came out and went to the release and school, will be doing same for ODST. you shouldn't be skipping school or work for a video game.

I've never done it before, so I figure taking one day off won't be too bad. If not, well, I've done the whole waiting game before. =)

If you can't wait a few hours to pick up ODST and play it, you've got a bit of a problem on your hands..

Now, if I actually had the chance to skip class and play Halo all day, hell yeah I'd do it. But there are, like you said, some people who take it too far.
