I also maintain that Chrome is weaksauce, and IE9 is fast and works very well

School effects my life in a negative way, all it is is getting punished all the time and those punishments are a waste of time, I could be doing something productive or more importantly, fun, rather then writing out some useless stuff for an hour. I got a detention the other day because I had finished all of the work we were given and started playing with a Rubiks cube (on a computer, since it was a computer class), I didn't actually do the detention and they haven't called me in for it, but that's basically school for me all of the time... By getting ODST at midnight and staying home for the week I will be making my life much more positive.

Do you work. Don't be stupid. Its a great game but you dont need to skip school or work for that. its not like world domination if you miss it.

  • 08.17.2009 4:12 AM PDT

Wait... I just double checked and I don't have school on that day.
I just need to drop off a finished a work packet and the rest of the day is all mine.

So no, I'm not skipping school.
And nobody else here should either.

=)

Not going to lie, I did for the launch of Halo 3, but noticed a major problem with that. An addiction is something that effects your life in a negitve way or if you become mentally dependent on it (yes that can go for video games, or weed, ect.) now skipping school or work will regardless effect you in a negitive way.

If missing one day of school is going to put you behind, then you've already got problems.

Also, life is too short not to skip things every now and then, for whatever reason.

Suck it up! I'm not going to play it unless I have no homework on the weekdays it comes out. I'll wait till friday night. Better to wait for something worth it then to get zeros on my homework. It teaches paitience. Hell, I waited till Saturday mourning when I pre ordered brawl. One week, if I can do it, you can.

u guys think that one day of not going to skool means that urnot going to get an education, it just means ul have to make ur work up later gall

No, the point is that people would rather skip a day in their education to get a game slightly earlier than the rest of the public, meaning:

a) You need to sort out your priorities. Sure, you can make up the work, but you weren't there when your teacher explained how to do everything.
b)Unless you're off from work/school/both (if you're a teacher) and you DIDN'T take the day off yourself, you have no legitimate reason to not go for a video game release which you could get later that day. NOBODY needs to play a game THAT much.

I'm just going to keep my mouth shut while I'm at school on the 22nd, 'cause I'll only be saying stuff about ODST like 'Can't wait to get home(because of ODST and because of the fact that my teacher this year is going to be very mean)' or 'MUST GET HOLD OF NEW SMG!!!11!!1!' or I'll be bugging my friend that likes CoD so much, saying stuff like how ODST is like Bungies CoD(Even though we ALL know HALO is highly superier to CoD[except for WaW that beat Halo3 by a little but it won't beat ODST]).

Who said anything about taking a day off? I'll just pump myself with sugar and remain awake for two days straight.

ODST can be my new alternative for sleeping.

You know funnily enough I've actually had a few dreams of playing firefight mode, too. Very strange and vauge.

First was some kind of strange one made for Halo 2. I knew so because of the battle rifle being awfully loud and not having a scope, and I distinctively remember Elites along with being in Security zone. Annoying because at that point I'd already read it was confirmed no Elites are in ODST.

Second was in the Halo 2 Map foundation, with 3 people. There were many jackals. And there were many Suppressed SMG rounds mowing them down.

And the third most recent was on security zone, where I was playing with my friend. We'd just taken out a bunch of infantry and hit the bonus round. Somehow I lost my pistol so I went up to the weapons spawn to get a new one but ended up getting a sniper rifle. On the way back I noticed a supply crate filled with SMG/pistol/rocket ammo. Somehow I picked it up with my left arm and brought it down to where we were fighting the enemy off.

I distinctively remember saying something along the lines of 'I BROUGHT SOME MORE AMMO.'

Also known as Entropy91
Black Water Ops representative.
See you on the battlefield.

Since I don't have any classes Thursday and Friday afternoons, I have ample time to play, and no need to cut classes. College is awesome.

In the days of old, there were legends of a land long lost to time. This land was known as Ranna'Mor. Ranna'Mor was said to contain in its borders 7 warriors. These warriors had once unleashed a veritable hell upon the ancient world, until they were locked away. My name is Toriad, and I am one of those warriors. Our return is approaching. Do not run away, do not cower in fear; take solace in your final days, for that is all we can do. -Legend of Ranna'Mor

I think it depends. If I were in high school, skipping school wouldn't affect me too much. However, if I were to skip school on the day of ODSTs release, it would have some major reproductions (it's my college finals week). So, it all depends.

I personally asked off work in advance and I will probably only go in for finals then race back home to play.

Maybe it doesn't mean crap if you skip a day and you're in 9th or 10th grade but if you're above any of that, then why not start the day off by actually going to something important?

That doesn't mean you necessarily did well at it. Oh, do you mean high school or college? If you actually suceed in college, good for you. If you can pass high school grades, join the club.

  • 08.17.2009 7:38 AM PDT
