Subject: Why I'm excited for ODST

Mah friends really liked my reason for my excitement over ODST, thought I'd share.

I'm excited about ODST primarily because of the position of the main character. With Halo 1-3, it was like this:
Character: Master Chief, last surviving spartan, only hope for the Earth.
Abilities: Super jump, super strength, agility, can take some serious damage, high-powered armor and shields, master of all forms of combat, yada-yada.....woop-dee-fXing-doo.

With ODST, it's more like:
Character: One of the (apperantly) last surviving ODST's of New Mombasa,
Abilities: No special abilities whatsoever, advanced marine training, ODST training

I think the situation will emotionally effect the Rookie greatly, and hopefully that will be incorporated into the story or a mission.
Another thing I'm REEEALLY looking forward to is that ODST will essentially be like a Free-roam where you choose your mssions- kinda like Fallout 3 I'm guessing.
Anyway, in a nutshell, thats why I'm waiting for ODST.

Your wasting you're time you could be doing something else besides reading my signature...

I think that ODST has a great perk to make the player feeling closer to being the main character then in good old H1-3.

I can have a higher hope of comparing myself to a Shock trooper, than I ever could a spartan super solider. It makes me feel like it could be me behind that helmet.
