my friends halo 3 dosent load anything so will he be able to play Halo 3 mythic and odst?

The fact he can't load Halo 3 is because wither the disc is damaged, or the console has a damaged disc reader/tray. If it's the former, he will be able to use Mythic and ODST, because they are separate discs from Halo 3. Also, if it's the latter, he needs to get it repaired.

it sounds like the disk is broken, if his other games work fine then it should be able to play disk 2 (its pretty much a halo 3 disk) if not then it might be the xbox.
