Posting on bungie.net should require that the user has had to have read a chapter book all the way through.

It will either be amazing (Halo 1) or terrible (Halo 3 brokenness).

"Everything works itself out. The only thing that matters is whether you want it to or not."

Last Refuge - Operation Phoenix is in effect. From the ashes, we will rise.

I think it'll be amazing. I really don't want them to disappoint me like in Halo 3. That would just make me ragequit.....

Yes all speculation at the moment.

one of the bungie employees said that they were playing reach in the office so all the employees could get a better sence of the project. if bungie already has a playable version of the games then all there doing right know is debugging, making multiplayer, servers, advertising, legal, counting moneyz, and polushing the graphics

you would have to be crazy if you think some fat bald bungie employee tells his fellow bungie co workers that there should be no br or that there should be 100 person multiplayer because some 9 year old spammed the thread on b.net

Ultimate failure? Yes.

Halo 2 and Halo 3 were a complete failure to the first, and adding even more games to a highly overrated series is just overkill. Times four.

Yeah if by failure you mean selling 30 billion copies all over the world and making 80 gagillion dollars, then yeah, I guess youre right... It is a failure.

While I extremely disagree with his idea of what Halo games were and weren't a "complete failure", sales mean nothing.

Were it so easy.

So wait does this guy like the Halo series and where Bungie is going or not? Hes contradicted himself like eight times now, I can't keep up.

Elitism R bad =[

But uh, by now Bungie is in the late alpha stage - the sandbox and gameplay have probably already been fully realized out of their concept stages, and the tools and engine are most likely complete and might undergo only slight changes/modifications in the future.

The missions that make up campaign and maps/locales have probably been created, but tweaks to spaces for different gameplay are obviously inevitable.

Why does this forum exist? One, to let us just generally speculate what Reach will be about - but, it's obviously also here so that Bungie can examine our ideas. It doesn't mean that they're going to take classes and jam them in - either classes have already been added to the core game structure before this forum was even open, or they weren't. They're probably just looking to see what the community prefers gameplay and map wise, so they can tweak existing game elements/maps/some core gameplay. I think we should be contributing to these areas rather than spamming the forums with "OMG luk at me I want classes but also Halo one gameplay omgomgomg".

Speaking of Halo one, there has been a lot of request for gameplay similar to that of Halo one - certain things like the removal of dual wielding for greater weapon efficiency come to mind.

Being an Elite is its own reward.

But, the replay value that was in halo and halo 2 was just not there.

I ask you tell me one moment in halo 3 that you want to re-experience over and over again.

There is tons of replay value due to the constant stream of DLC and new playlists coming into the online world. There is also a great campaign.

One moment in Halo 3, that I would love to see over and over again? The warthog run never gets old. EVER. It's cool to see the Forward unto Dawn land, and to cleanse High Charity. It is also just plain awesome to kill scarabs, get out of maps, and crush Covenant badies with your friends. And the whole multiplayer I would experience over and over again.

If Halo 3 was a failure, how come people still play it? How come it has such a large fanbase. Honestly Bungie.net is the worst place to argue that Halo 3 was horrible, and that Halo: Reach won't be any better.

Here’s what Luke had to say about the differences in treatment between the Spartans and Elites in Reach:

“Instead of piece-by-piece customization like the Spartans, Elite customization is a full model swap with models selected from the various Elite classes appearing throughout the Campaign. There are all kinds of reasons for this, not the least of which is our continued emphasis on the Spartan as your identity in Reach.”

The only portion of Halo 2 and 3 that I actually enjoy is the multiplayer. The campaigns were both bad, with Halo 3's being absolutely terrible.

Because of this, I want Bungie to focus on the Multiplayer aspect, snce I will be using that much more.

If they can make a good campaign, great. Ill play it. But I am holding out for multiplayer above all else.
