Subject: Keyframed vs Motion Capture

I noticed that every Halo game Bungie made only uses keyframed animations and not motion capture. Personally, it should stay that way. It doesn't look unnaturally realistic, and a lot more feeling and emotion can be added to the animations.
Heck, that's the reason why I want to be an animator at Bungie.
But do you should Bungie adopt motion capture?

Just in case people don't know how motion capture turns out:

(pretty advanced motion cap)

The problem with motion capture is that it makes the game look unnatural unless the graphics are literally photorealistic. Which they aren't. In any game.

Basically, it plunges games into the uncanny valley.

Halo's graphical style isn't meant to look entirely realistic, so they don't need to do motion capture, and besides, they save money and their animations look a lot better than a lot of motion capped ones.
