This is a list of improvements that i'd like to see in Halo Reach. Now you have to keep in mind that i'm assuming that various features that exist in Halo 3 will feature in this game, but enough of my jibber-jabbin', here's a list of things i'd like to see improved in Halo Reach:

- Custom Game Search - It would be nice if you could just take a look at a server list, find something that you want to play, and then join it, rather than being dictated by Matchmaking/Shishka on what you can and can't play. You need never complain that your favourite gametype isn't in Matchmaking ever again.

- 45 Degree snapping in Forge - Forge is a great tool, and has evolved since Halo 3's release for a tool for making relatively minor changes, such as changing weapons placement, to something where we can make pretty much anything with thanks to Sandbox. However, Forge has its limitations, and I think that an option to turn 45 Degree object snapping on would be a great help, and would make Forge a lot less frustrating to use.

- A "Grid Mode" in Forge - In Sandbox in Forge you have a Grid on the floor. It would be great if you could snap objects to this grid. This could work well with the aforementioned 45 degree object snapping.

- Make the crosshair reappear - This is pretty minor, but it's a frustration to those of us with Capture Cards. If you save a film clip, some times the targeting crosshair won't appear. If you want an example for what I mean, then click here. As you can see, there is no crosshair in the middle of the screen. This is annoying for montages and the like.

- Sort the spawning system out - I'm going to keep this short, but simply put, if i'm constantly spawning in front of a Warthog, or spawning in a Snipers line of sight, some thing is wrong. See: Standoff/Standoff Heavy

- Hit detection - Yes, I know that some times lag is the cause of this, but some times, even in a game with the connection is great, the hit detection still fails. This applies to the Scorpion in particular, though it happens with the Sniper Rifle too some times. I realise that the Internet is imperfect, and that some times, weird things will happen, but packet loss or whatever seems to be more evident in Halo 3 than any other game.

- More consistency - Randomness should be kept to a minimum. Take for example the BR Spread, yes, it should exist, no, it should not be random. A competitive game should be as controllable as possible.

- Replace the Laser with a Gauss Rifle - The Laser in Halo 3 is too easy to use and renders vehicles a death trap. I'm not going to get too far in to this because I actually made a thread on this which was swarmed by idiots who didn't even read it all. Simply put, the Laser should be replaced by something where you should have to lead your shot.

- Elites and Spartans need to be equal - Elites have various advantages/disadvantages in this game, I suppose that most of them are simply oversights by the developer. It would be nice if more time was spent balancing them both out so that complaints are kept to a minimum.

- Ability to rewind in Theatre mode for campaign - This is something that I actually hope is in ODST, seeing as that game is entirely based off of the campaign engine in Halo 3. The inability to rewind can be a frustration, especially if Halo Reach implements a Firefight mode like ODST does.

- Co-op campaign needs to lag less - Again, something that I hope ODST does. The campaign in Halo 3 can lag a bit, enemies don't jump to one side of the screen to the other, but often my movement feels delayed by about a second or so when i'm playing co-op campaign over Xbox Live.

It feels like i'm missing a few things, so feel free to add to the list, or whatever.

This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.
/slow clap for respect

The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

yes i agree completley but the elite thing the neck is extra than on spartans so it is balance reasons

Shooting an enemy in the neck and not having him lose health is not balanced.

Agreed. Here are some of mine:

Advanced Forge Toolbox.

Along with the aforementioned Snap-To and Interval Rotate, I would like to see the following tools:

Suspend
Toggle Y-Axis Hit Detection
Toggle X-Axis Hit Detection
Toggle Z-Axis Hit Detection
Delete All

I'd also like this grid to use extremely small intervals.

Object Customisation Options.

Currently, you can only change one or two parameters for each object in Forge. I would like dozens:

For a weapon, for instance, I want to be able to change:

Bullet Speed
Bullet Spread
Bullets Per Clip
Total Clips
Melee Distance
Melee Speed
Melee Damage
Damage Per Bullet
Area of Effect Damage
Reload Speed

You get the idea.

The same goes for custom games. I want to be able to adjust point modifiers (whereby the number of points a player has determines his traits) and individual player traits. I want to be able to set the score limit of a game to 37.

Again, you get the idea.

Improved Screenshot Options.

Whilst taking a screenshot, I want to be able to adjust zoom, focus, aperture, shutter speed, brightness, contrast, colour, etc.

I'd also like a video editing feature, whereby players could cut segments from saved films and film clips and combine them, perhaps also being able to edit speeds and transitions.

Oh, and a dynamic FF function.

Get to it, Bungie!
