I think/hope I may have found something undiscovered!

Take a sniper rifle next to Ghost and scope in on the right side, in front of the seat a bit behind the center of the cowling covering the engine. On the yellow portion of the Ghost if you zoom in to 10x you can see what is obviously a face drawn in a cartoonish manner. It has a mustache and very visible eyes. You cannot be too far away, no more than 2-3 steps from the Ghost, nor can you be too close or it distorts. I was playing melee/grenades only on AotCR and I use the ghosts for cover, bumping them along to creep up on unsuspecting groups of covies. I was zoomed in on a group, backed up a bit and lowered myself and it popped right out at me when my scope went too low. I darn near pooped myself when I saw it because after 5 years of gameplay and following things online I could never recall hearing about this. Has anyone else??

I have just a normal Xbox, and no digital camera (which is pretty pathetic for a 46 year old guy!), but I should be able to borrow one and upload it over the coming days. It is not a difficult thing to find in the game, if you know where to look. I figured someone would be asking for visual proof sooner or later. I will do my best!

Sounds cool! I'll have to check it out later.

No pictures needed. If Womy says it's there, it is.
Am off work for a week, though, so if no one else hits it up, will (attempt in my over 30 capacities to) post a pic.

Thanks for the faith nesteggfailure, appreciate it!

If you are going to look for it, i did forget to mention, it is alot easier to see with the flashlight on, the night vision off (like you really need it during AotCR!) and crouch at the end of the "wing", then look for it on the right hand side of the ghost, just rear of center below the red part of the engine cover. It kind of reminds me of a russian cossak cartoon.

I don't have my disc, it's missing, or I'd check it right now. Good find, though.

Update: Am having some technical issues here, but I see several things that look like faces in that area. A little less distinct than the "skull decorations" in the hallway floor structures in H-2's Gravemind level, but identifiable. The part where the wing attaches to the Ghost looks like a frog in profile, and there's one in there. Couple more towards the cannon in the yellowish area.

Is there a simple way to paste a JPEG into a post, or is it only linking type stuff ? Have never done anything like that and don't quite get the "capture card" thing. Too fancy for my "remembers a time before computers" abilities.

On an unrelated side note, grabbing the first available Ghost on AOTCR and rushing over the cliff to the Scorpion area resulted in some weirdness I'd never seen. The Wraith backed over the cliff, and Marines were standing on it/"climbing" the cliff to engage the Jackals above. Crazy. (And no, I can't provide a picture of that ! Ha.) Something new even after all these years...

It is very common to have that Wraith end up on the ice near the Scorpion IF you bypass the enemies in the first outside level. There are many times when I am playing melee and grenades only that I end up Warthogging it from the tipped hog spot all the way to the Hunters at the blast door, only to go all the way back to the natural tunnel and start working on enemies. What this does is free up the AI from its original limitations and the enemies move out of there normal patterns. I learned about this on BadCyborg, alot of useful stuff there!

yeah, it's pretty cool to have the Wraith back over the cliff, although I still find hard to flip it over with a scorpion tank, and force the pilot out.

As for a similar story, I once examined a Shade turret, I thought I saw a face similar to the "keep it clean" logo, although it still looked different.

I didn't want to turn my Xbox on, so I checked Halo PC and it's not there (and the scope was x8, not x10), so guess I'll have find this the hard way =P I'll edit once I get around to it.

Never actually blew past everything like that ( I always seem to do the same stuff...yet it never gets old.) Flipped the Wraith using the "grab first Banshee"/bridge to level's end method. Didn't even know the term "Wraith" was in the game up to that point.
Womy - Thanks for the Badcyborg tip. Will have to check it out.

What is...?

E4web

Pareidolia

However, I will look into this tomorrow on Halo: CE, Halo PC and Halo Custom Edition. For the latter, I'll rip the .dds skin file for the Ghost texture and see what I can find.

I remember seeing faces in the Banshee cockpit.

If you want to create a huge amount of enemies to fight, and do it in a different manner than you are normally accustomed to try this:

Once you exit into the floor of the canyon where the Pelican dropped off your marines go for the Hog, but do not let any marines board. Take the Hog and drive all the way to the blast door by the Hunter's (where the second and third Wraiths are). Take out the Hunters with the Hog and get the blast door open in a hurry, you should have enough time to get the Hog through the blast doors and JUST AROUND THE NEXT CORNER. Your aim here is not to get a checkpoint, but to get enough distance between you and the hoarde of elites and jackals that is about to ruin your day. I use the Hog to hide behind and start taking out enemies as they are dumb enough to start coming after you. If they do not, then I start to work my way back until they realize where I am. How you fight them ALL THE WAY BACK to where you picked up the Hog in the first place is up to you.

You can create these backwards battles in several spots, and end up with more enemies than you know what to do with. My next favorite spot to do it is what BadCyborg calls the spiral megabattle. Take a ghost from the area at the bottom of the cave below where the Spirit dropships unloads at the bottom of the spire in the next part of the level. Hightail it all the way to the set of Hunters by the active camo and invisible sword elites. Dump yourself out there and fight your way back to the spot you picked up the Ghost.

Both of these involve taking alot of fire from enemies (often deadly amounts) as you make the vehicle run to your offload spot. There are some tricks to surviving the run itself, or at least with enough health to survive fighting long enough to reach a health pack. Keep in mind, that if you do it right, the Ghost can basically glide off cliffs and survive.

Nice, Womy. Why am I only hearing of this website now ?!

I think I was confusing my Banshees in the earlier post, and it's the second Banshee that allows you to proceed to the level's end without facing another enemy. (Although vehicles do spawn) Am sure pretty much everyone knows that one. I used the Banshee to flip the Wraith into the crevasse, which brought up the "Press X to flip" text.
Thought this was pretty cool - take the Banshee all the way to the cutscene, and it will show up in the cutscene's background. Made me wonder if two would. Sure enough, there they were. Definitely one of those "This is what separates CE from the others" moments.

I found another face/body glyph on the bottom of the Hog! I have a feeling this one has been found, but on the underside of the Hog, along the centerline there are 3 identical glyphs spaced out. There are symbols at the front and back end of the underside of the chassis, as well as in the center. I found it first on Halo, when Foehammer comes to drop off the first Hog, I was standing underneath waiting to see how long it would be before Cortana said something about getting out of the way or doing something rather than just standing there (there is alot of that in H2, but almost none of it in CE) and while I was scoping the bottom of the Hog with the pistol I found the three of them. They are most recognizable if you are facing towards the front of the Hog and looking up, walking the length of the vehicle slowly they should pop right out at you. 2X mag, light on helps. This one struck me as a kitten in a bikini, but then again I do have quite the imagination (no, I am not on drugs!).
