One thing I've noticed about Bungie...
They keep a certain cloud of mystery on every single one of their games.
Halo: CE never got a demo
Halo 2 followed
Halo 3 got a beta that had STUPID guidelines. Who wants to sign up for a game beta like a year in advance? Who would buy a 60 dollar piece of -blam!- game to play the beta? Not me, that's for sure.
Halo 3: ODST is almost definitely going to be the same way. No demo, not even a campaign beta. Lame.
If we look at that, that's 100% of Bungie's Halo games with NO DEMO.
Halo: Reach has an opportunity to break the cycle with a demo that EVERYONE can access, not a stupid beta limited to a few thousand people. Then again, now that I think about it, you will only be able to access the Reach beta if you purchase ODST.
So I guess that's it for Halo after Reach comes out, and that's it for playable demos even being a possibility.
Plus, knowing how Bungie shoves the map packs down our throats to make us buy more of their DLC so they can make more money, why wouldn't they wanna make a demo so that they can reach more people? If I tried a demo of a game and it was a really good demo, chances are I would be inspired to purchase the game. What's the deal, guys?
