I think Halo PC is great as it is, but I think it needs something new. A buddy list, or some kind of list where you can tell if your friends are online, and where you can talk privatley to them. So many other online games have them, but I really don't think Halo does. However, that doesn't mean that it shouldn't. :)

Also, many people may enjoy an "ignore list," so that people annoying can't talk to you or see when you are online...

Any comments are appreciated.......................................

I 100% agree with you there. You make a lot of friends and... enemies... on Halo PC but can never keep track of a lot of them. A buddy list feature would make Halo PC gamers very happy.

That idea has already been shot down. Because of Halo being a port, Gearbox would first have to okay it with Bungie (i.e. not possible until Halo 2 is finished) and even then it doesn't sound like it is technically feasible. This is not my personal oppinion. It is what was said in posts over at the Gearbox forums.

There is something almost as good. It's not an in game feature, but Xfire is the Gamer's IM utility, which will do just about what you are wanting to do here.
