I don't know what the vehicle interactions would be like in Reach but this theory is based on the hopes that it will be like it has always been. I think we have all been in this situation, your running over grunts and other silly covenant types when you get hit directly by a wraith mortar or some such thing, your warthog or whatever vehicle your driving is damaged but not destroyed, you manage to kill everything but you're sitting there wishing you had a better vehicle. I think it would be nice to be able to repair your vehicle, not all the way, but say you could implement this into the equipment portion of halo, pick up a "repair kit" and go up to your vehicle and a message comes up "press and hold X to repair." Maybe you could have two different repair kits, one for human vehicles, and one for covenant. And of course your vehicle is partially restored. Maybe the windshield of the warthog is still gone or there are still major dents in the armor. I just thought this might be a helpful solution to being destroyed by Choppers.
Or maybe if there are two warthogs and yours is still running but doesn't have a turret maybe you could take the turret of the other and put it on yours, again this could probably be considered equipment...just ideas.
