Shadow Leader and Founder of Shadowing Depths

The specs for the missile pod say that it has been removed from a mount or vehicle. yet there is no vehicle that actually has a usable missile pod launcher on it. There are a few missile pods that were mounted in the Halo 3 campaign, but those were the only times they were usable. I think there should be some kind of vehicle that has a missile launcher on it.

Another theory of mine is that this missile pod could be used after the vehicle is destroyed, but it would be cut from its ammo supply, almost like the machine gun turret. This should also be true with the turrets of other vehicles like the gauss cannon, and the warthog turret.

For Campaign, that would be a great idea, but it shouldn't be multiplayer, as it would be way to overpowerd.

It would be easier to use he Gauss Warthog. If the missles went as fast as the Halo 1 rocket, and locked on, it would be just as good as the Gauss against vehicles.

Umm, I'm assuming that you're not talking about the Rocket Hog from Halo PC?

I think having it in Campaign would be neat, but make it more fair so its more of a challenge to the player by having "clamps" drop down from the side of the vehicle, making it stationary.

Its not that I think it might be a good replacement vehicle for the gauss, but it seems like the full intention of the missile pod might have been cut from the game. maybe put it on a new type of vehicle, probably a much slower one.

There is no niche for the missle warthog to fill. The gauss and normal warthog already fill anti-infantry and vehicle roles really well.

Missile pods planted on vehicles would only be for anti-air, and having an indefinite amount of ammo may lower the entertainment in Campaign if implemented. There's not a precise reason to add the missile pod to vehicles on Halo: Reach.

maybe we can use the wolverine for the first time in FPS. The missle are simular....or we can accually make the elephant worth while and put a missle pod turret on it. It would go from being totally useless to be usefull once in a while

In the book HALO:FALL OF REACH Captain Keyes (or possibly Mendes) had a personal warthog with a anti-air missle launcher installed in the back.

I wouldn't mind seeing it in the game.

Underwater Eagle.

If they put in more elephants, a missile pod would work well there due to the elephants lack of mobility (balance issues)
