No, I don't ever want to see what he looks like, ever. I think that would ruin the character.

They should do what they did for CE, he takes off his helmet, and has another one underneath

its bungies last halo, meaning the story of MC is over forever. You cant ruin the character if you never see him again

amen to that as well. Master Chief's mask to me is his face my image of the hero. I love V for vendetta when he said isnt your face just another mask so why should i take off mine. Its like a ninja i dont care to see them without the mask i just want them to continue doing ninja stuff. That visage makes me love ninjas. I love kakashi in naruto when they had that filler episode to take off his mask he just had another mask. But that mask became a symbol of him. Showing his face would devalue the symbol and image you have of those types of characters

They should do what they did for CE, he takes off his helmet, and has another one underneath
XD

lol halo pc knows how to do it =). Comedy at its best

I'd do it like this:

Start with a scene with a bunch of Spartans gearing up, alarms going off in the background, and the distant whine of plasma fire and clatter of automatic weapons going off. We see John pull his helmet out of his locker and put it on, giving his face maybe a second or two of screen time. He locks it in place, grabs an MA5B, and joins his group.

Ridiculous. Johns face, I think, should only be shown when he is just arriving at reach as a boy. That's it. This whole idea of his face getting screen time for seconds, or even fractions of a second at that, would totally ruin his legacy. I know everyone, deep deep down in our hearts, wants to know how badass this John guy must look behind that MJOLNIR armor. We must resist it and burn that urge on the steak. I mean, which persons' legacy will live on longer, John or Spartan-117? We all know that answer.

I say leave him in his mask forever, it will do him the most good.

It would be a perfect ending cutscene to a perfect franchise

This is the one thing about Halo 3: ODST and Halo Reach that made me nervous and skeptical, although Bungie themselves have done a great job of getting rid of this mindset.

The perfect ending cutscene to the perfect franchise the Halo 3 ending cutscene. The fight was finished. There is nothing 'final' or 'conclusive' about anything in the aforementioned two games, and in the case of Halo: Reach, the opposite is correct.

Posts like this give me the feeling of "I know they said that in Halo 3, you'd finish the fight, and you did from a storyline perspective, but Halo 3: ODST is even bigger and better than Halo 3! Oh my god, Halo: Reach? That will be the king of them all!"

Wrong. I am not talking about the quality of the video games themselves - any Bungie game is superior in quality and I would only think that they would improve on their video games, but I just hate to see statements that would imply that the ending of Halo 3 isn't the most final and conclusive area of Bungie's manifestations of the Halo story. Halo: Reach, unlike Halo 3: ODST, will be a full blown Halo game, and the circumstances of the story certainly deserve that type of attention, but the ending of Halo is in Halo 3. Not in Halo: Reach.

Oh, and I'd hate to see the Cheif's face. I think it would ruin a lot of the mystery surrounding the character, not to mention that faces rendered with a computer have almost always turned me off - some modern stuff moreso than the older stuff. (the one exception being Captain Keyes from Halo 1, which was the most realistic and believable face ever rendered with electronic equipment)

I know that Bungie will make the right decision, since Halo does belong to Bungie, they can do whatever they want with it. Just realize that if they decide to show his face, he will no longer be a Spartan to me. In my opinion, it would be as -blam!- as when Kurt Ambrose decided to go with the Spartan III gear instead of his badass Spartan II armor in Ghosts of Onyx, to say the least. It would ruin everything that Bungie set out for when they started with the most epic game in history Halo:Combat Evolved. I hope they don't let me down.

I think that he should take his helmet off but you will only be able to see like a fourth of his face or even just his hair would really excite the fans

and then when you go into theater mode to view his face it will be blacked out and have some funny message on it

I've already seen his face in a comic when he was younger but it would be cool to see it in game ;D

In previous games, Master Chief was meant to represent yourself. But seeing as how MC will be among friend's and will interact more often, he will probably have more a personality then he used to.

I believe we will see MC's face.

If Bungie revealed John's face many fans would be disappointed no matter what John would look like, because they would have always pictured him differently.

It is my latest cultural research project! By randomly saying LOLWIN to semi-funny replies on the Halo 3 forum, I hypothesize that a temperary self-esteem boost will be present.

And once they read this, they will be a little worse off than before.

Halo Wars was one of my favorite games for the genre. It's is not halo wars, it is an RTS game in general you don't like.

No, that would ruin everyone's idea on what he looks like. Plus, isnt he like 15 years old during the battle of Reach according to the book?
