I know that we don't know for sure if there is a Forge in Reach... hell, all we know is it's title. But for any future incarnation of Forge, I have an idea.
All it would be, is a button, that has nearly every main Forge glitch from Halo 3 programmed into it. For example, if you hold it while placing an item in the air, it would stay where you placed it, without falling. Also, if you hold the button, you could auto-merge items. Bassically, you could move it through other objects/Spartans. Also, if you hold the button, you could merge an object into the map itself.

It would be a floating/merging/geomerging button.

It would be the single-most greatest thing to happen in Forge.

...say you build a huge base, and your having trouble placing objects inside it, Press the "Forge Manipulation button" and you could bring a large object through the walls of your base, to place it inside.

What do you guys think about this idea?

Good idea, but nearly impossible to impliment. Key word "Glitches" they weren't meant to be there, so Bungie might have difficulty putting in what they didn't make on purpose.

actually, what I meant was ever main forge glitch from halo 3. It would implament the stuff that they never originally intended from halo 3. It wouldn't be a glitch.

You misunderstand me. The reason they probably won't implement it, is Because they were glitches, it was a random mix of Code that produced that outcome, and They did not do it on purpose, and Wouldn't know where to begin to re-create it.

Honestly though, If there is forge in Reach, it will be Much Improved, as Bungie only meant for Forge in Halo 3 to move weapon spawns and things, and it ended up making entire maps.

pure genius. i have wished for a button like this ever since i started using the forge. i think that the ability to select, copy and paste a large grope of objects would also be helpful.

...say your built a huge base on one side of the map, so you drag the selector over the base and select "copy". then fly over to the other side of the base and select "paste." the base is facing the wrong way so you press the manipulation button to merge all of the object into one object and rotate it as normal.

an "undo" button would be helpful as well.

Oh. Well I don't think that they would have to recreate it completely, they could just recreate the outcome, but I don't know enough about programming to completely backup everything I'm saying...

That would be pretty helpful, but I hope that Reach has a larger Forging Pallette, and the ability to place, say, 20 mancannons.

Yeah, a Ghost button. It'd turn white translucent and when ever you pressed the button again (it'd be a toggle), the item would stay EXACTLY where you put it. Even if it's in the air or inside another item (lolololololololololol). However, players, vehicles, and weapons should still be pushed with hit with the item.

Check out my file share for cool maps

Sounds cool and helpful, I'm not sure if its possible. I dont think they will remove the glitches because thats what made forge great on sandbox and foundry, bassicly making your own map.

...They would be adding the glitches to a button, not removing them. Also, sinse they are doing this on purpose, it really wouldn't be a glitch, now would it?
