Well frankly I'm not really up to buying Halo 3 ODST - full price for what's essentially an expansion to an existing game, which I paid full price for in the first place, is ridiculous and there are quite a few other games I'd rather buy this year than that.

One thing I DO want is the Halo Reach Beta. From what I know Bungie have only mentioned that it's available with Halo 3 ODST, but does anyone have any indication or if I've missed Bungie saying themselves that the Reach Beta will be available without ODST?

I'm hoping it would be like the Halo 3 Beta bundled with Crackdown - after a few weeks it was available to the public, and from codes recieved on the internet a bit before that.

Anyone know anything about this?

they haven't said anything but I guess it'll work like it did for H3's. only way to access the beta is via ODST.

Halo 3:ODST can be considered a full game.
Why? Campaign is..common as to how many hours it takes to complete it. LIKE ALL 1ST PERSON SHOOTERS!
And well the rest you know.

And the Reach beta will only be available if you have ODST, without it, you don't get it.

You must have Halo 3 ODST if you want the Halo Reach Beta, once the Beta goes live, you download it and then you play it by going to the extra menu in Halo 3 ODST.

If this is all you think OSDT is you're not giving it enough credit, but if that's your choice you won't be playing the beta unless you have a friend with ODST.

Yeah, because a entire new survival mode, a non-linear open world campaign that is 4-Player co-op, not to mention the almost fully customizable squad of ODST's you get to "Drop" into combat with for FireFight, 3-new Halo 3 multiplayer maps that are only available if you have ODST, and not to mention the Reach Beta which is only available to people with acsess to ODST, is just an expansion....

first of all searchbar.

and it is a full game because the campaign alone is 8 hours of gameplay (says the bungie employee that wuz interviewed by ign) and plus they give you ALL of the maps instead of the new 3 and plus there is firefight and a second disk to multiplayer. so stop complaining about the price god! let bungie price it at what they want and frankly i think they made a good decision on the price.
