Im suggesting this as a type of "Firefight" gametype option for Halo: Reach.
Imagine a gametype where, similar to Firefight, you fight against AI on regular matchmaking maps.
For example:
Map: Construct
Gametype: Firefight 1-player
So you spawn on Construct, and X number of AI also spawn on Construct opposite of you. You have a 10-15 minute time limit to rack up as many kills as possible with a pool of lives. You can even have rounds, waves, and sets like in firefight. Only every time you kill them, after a short respawn time, they respawn again.. maybe as different AI. Wraiths, phantoms etc on bigger maps.
It would essentially be "practice" for actual Matchmaking games. The AI could even be other Spartans/ODST's/Marines, whatever.. It would be just like playing a matchmaking game, except you're playing against computer players vs. other real players. New medals, sprees, etc could be implemented just like in Firefight.
This way, you would be able to play on all of the Multiplayer maps in a gametype without having to play custom games, or actually playing online against other players.
