I was thinking that Halo 3 multiplayer forge was great but what if you could forge your own Halo Reach download able Campaign maps you get features like
-Placing land features from Halo 3's, Halo 3 ODST's, and Halo Reach's campaign
-Placing set in game objectives either you have to destroy a covenant base with brutal haste or rescue fellow squad mates and marines
-Placing where enemies, easter eggs, vehicles, and weapon drops.
-What character you play as and what weapons you spawn with
-What enemies you face like Flood, Covenant, Brutes, New Halo Reach enemies
-Every Vehicle from every Halo game

And much more I personally think this would be a great option to put into Halo Reach. Post here what else you think should be put in for this

I think there are some good ideas here, but before they go to this length i'd like to see them fix the problems with forge. And it would take a lot of extra work, maybe start with terrain modeling like Farcry or something similar.

I agree that reach would be a great game if it added a new feature like this, but I don't think it is very realistic. If you look at forge, you can see that Bungie is trying to cater to more casual players. bungie could have made a complex mapmaker system like farcry's, but instead they chose to make it very simple and very easy to use. as a result forge has become a very popular feature of Halo and is one of the reasons why it sets itself apart from other FPS games. Other than that, great idea!

Were it so easy to actually make a campaign mission. You make it sound simple, when in reality, all the AI in the campaign are designed on an area by area basis. Its not as simple as "spawn some grunts here and set their AI to "patrol".

Neither would creating the environments be a simple task.

I'd rather they focus on improving forge than making a campaign editor when many people would never use it.
