Will Bungie, ever care to show us how the Forerunner's look, and what is their connection with humans. I think Bungie should make a game on how the Forerunners look and how they died or went extinct for over Eons because they failed to escape the Flood and ultimatly had to activat the HOLY Rings, and even how humans have the power to activate their technology.

Don't you people(ALL WHO READS THIS THREAD) think they should show the Forerunners?

-blam!- Was that actually blammed out? Or did I just type it? You'll never know.

Whenever Bungie is finally through with the Halo series, I'd like to see a Forerunner game. Based on the Forerunner/Flood war. Get to use their weaponry and vehicles and armour. Have all new characters and story. Although I'm sure 343 Guilty Spark could make an appearance.

Nice Idea, Remenber 343Guiltysparks said on Halo CE, she said to the master chief

"Don't you remenber what you last told me to do"

And more cool if you see them and use their Weapons.

The Forerunner seem to be genetically identical to the humans. This sentence is under Forerunner Technology.

But yeah, I reckon it'd be cool if Bungie showed us more of what the Forerunner were like.

I think one of the episodes in Halo Legends will show the forerunner. Yay.

Look... I'm on bungiepedia!

I think that the Forerunners are humanity's descendents; that is, archaic H. sapiens evolved into the subspecies Forerunner (away from Earth, and under the influence of the Precursors' evolutionary acceleration technology).

They encounter the Flood and build the Rings and Ark. Few Forerunner manage to make it to the Ark, and the others are exterminated. The few survivors in the Ark mate with the archaic H. sapiens taken to the Ark from Earth, exterminating the full blooded Forerunner race and creating a new sub-species...

H. sapiens sapiens. Modern humans. Reclaimers.

Technically they do show the forerunners, we're the forerunners. 343 Guilty Spark even says so right before you kill him and activate the ring in halo 3.

I know the humans are descendant of the Forerunners, but I want to know for shure of how they looked eons ago.

I Love ODST. Nice game.

There is something called Halo 3: The Cradle of Life that may have Forerunners in it. Its a comic. And the Halo Encyclopedia might show them too. There is also 3 novels that is currently known as The Forerunner Trilogy. It will definantly have 'em. The future of the Halo Universe is amazing. Though i doubt Halo: Reach would have real Forerunners.

Actually no, 343 was rampant, anyways the forerunners picked the humans to be their sucessors, but are not in any way genetically related to the humans. There is a new Halo book trilogy coming out that is all about the forerunners, so wait til then.

I just wasted a few seconds of your life and you're never getting them back!

I doubt forerunners look exactly like humans, but they are likely to be bipedal and humanoid. After all, didn't you find it strange that all doorways, ramps, rooms, etc. seem to be made for human-sized bodies?

A mythic member but I speak my mind to much.

I always just thought they were very considerate.

Well, if they ever did that, and use the human genetics so they activate the thechnollogy, then they must be near the same as them.

In my opinion I hope they do not show the Forerunners or release giant chunks of information about them. I like the whole mysterious veil that the Halo games created on the subject of the Forerunners, and how to understand about what precious information is avaliable on them you need to pay close attention to certain details and read between the lines when neccessary.

To spill the secrets would deface all the imaginative thinking that lead each individual player to their own conclusions about the Forerunners and what happened all those eons ago.

But that's just my view.

I think that that is a good theory.

404 error please try again later.

i keep on pitchuring the foreruners as something like the elites

  • 08.20.2009 7:16 AM PDT

personaly i belive that the humans are forerunners and there is alot of evidance towards this: the first being all the refrences from 343 guilty spark about the humans being the reclaimers, in the halo book harvest another oracole reconizes and says something about the convent being rong and that the reclaimers are its masters, then also in halo ghost of onyx the sentinals take some of the spartans and protect them in pods.

I agree somewhat. In my theory, seeing how in the comics that our earliest ancestors revered the forerunners as gods when they built the portal, some of the forerunners are in mythology. I know this is a long shot, but I like to think of forerunners more or less as elves, minus the whole foresty thing. This could also explain the "hand" that looks so much like ours on all the control panels.

One more thing that's been bugging me. I played Halo 2 the other day and it was long established in Halo CE that only humans could activate forerunner tech, right? If this is the case, then how did the Covenant retract the bridge on Delta Halo, right before you get the Scorpion, since the bridge had a panel which you had to activate? Just wondering.

Makes sense. Bake to the Forerunners though. I think it would be cool to have at least a book or something, maybe a game, showing the UNSC and Elites fighting off the last of the Brutes/Flood. This would be a great time to have a lone forerunner appear, since they seem able to live really long and have a slipspace cyro freeze(its in Ghosts of Onyx). Maybe he helps you or is the uber bad ass boss that no one can beat. Kind of like if you went against Gravemind one on one.

Look... I'm on bungiepedia!

They are writing a trilogy of novels set 100,000 years ago when the Forerunner were the dominant species in the Galaxy.

Im looking forward to it. The sad thing is that there goes the speculation about what they look like. Or Bungie can blind side us and encase every single forerunner in armor, like chief, so we never truely know what they look like, just if they are bipedal, humanoid, elitish looking, etc. Pretty much the same thing the did with Chief's face.
