Very very very cool my man. Is that from habo hotel? And can I play/run around on that map?
:) Yeah someone else made the habbo hotel remark. I just wanted to put my mates in it. I could do helmets though.

:) Just Photoshop really.Leaner, more specific tools for creating pixel art (such as Pixen or even MS Paint) are great, but when you're having to adequately mimic specific and intricate architecture (such as the circular central platform in Guardian), layers, line and ellipse tools come in extremely handy.I also have a slightly more simplistic, more cartoony take on Standoff:http://web.mac.com/garyellis1/Site_2/Latest_files/standoffbas e5aa.gif
It's great, when I first saw it I thought i was a screenshot of the actual Guardian.

Btw, I wna hug you :D
Haha :)Photoshop CS3. Any version is fine, but from the CS versions onwards layer management is much better. The only other thing you need to do this is time, lots of it. I wasn't doing this to any particular end though; it's actually quite fun and relaxing to do.

Lots of hours, in bursts really. I would leave it a while then come back to it fresh. I've missed out on some TV, and have a fair few unread books :)Pencil yeah, lots of that. Though I did use the ellipse tool for the basic shape of the central platform. And the fill tool of course.Wondering if I should do another one, and what map? It would have to be visually different (especially in terms of colour)...
