Subject: Would you like a covenant campaign?

Here’s what Luke had to say about the differences in treatment between the Spartans and Elites in Reach:

“Instead of piece-by-piece customization like the Spartans, Elite customization is a full model swap with models selected from the various Elite classes appearing throughout the Campaign. There are all kinds of reasons for this, not the least of which is our continued emphasis on the Spartan as your identity in Reach.”

Games don't do this much anymore, especially shooters.

I at least thought Halo Wars would have had 2 campaigns. RTS games usually have both.

This needs to happen. Does anybody remember playing the Axis in a WW2 shooter? I sure as hell don't. And including an Axis campaign would increase the appeal of WW2 shooters, just like a Covenant Campaign would increase the appeal for Halo Reach.

I can kind of see why an Axis campaign has never been done, -blam!-s being as unpopular as they are. I suppose the same logic could be applied to the Covenant, even though they were far less selective about who they killed.
But ignoring the political ramifications, wouldn't gameplay value improve with a Covenant campaign?

No. I hated playing as the arbitor in Halo2. Took me way out of the story line of Chief and the humans whenever I had to jump over to their point of view. After I beat Halo2 the first time, anytime I replayed it I would always skip Covenant levels.

So you like to: fight in new mombasa (thats ok!), go to delta halo kill regret, go to hight charity do nothing... and then... oh then the chief's campaign is over. -_- That is extremely boring, the Arbiter have the best levels of Halo 2, besides that his story is more intense and with better situations

~the falcon doesn't hunt just to kill, but to survive~

YES!
playing as the arbiter in halo 2 was really fun (in my opinion) and opened up the covenant more, so they weren't just a mindless rabble.

The arbiter is also by far a more interesting character.

MC: Strong silent type. Woo.

Arbiter: Tormented Nobility Elite, who has fallen from the position of Supreme Commander to the lowest of the low in the Covenant Hierarchy, only to be reborn as the Arbiter, the MAILED FIST of the COVENANT! Armed with zeal and vigor, he strides forth to find his destiny!

Were it so easy.

I agree, though Master chief is still very cool, I like the Arbiter a lot too, the covenant and Elites have an interesting story.

yeah!! that is what I mean!!

the story of the Arbiter works perfectly, it works in this very personal level... I was ashamed, my resposibilities have been taken away from me, I'm gonna prove myself...
And he is full of glory too, he Killed Tartarus... the greatest brute ever...

I just love him xD

I want a Covenant Campaign if it wont turn out to be like the one in Halo 2. I hated it.

for ace

Cool if you had to unlock by completing UNSC campaign, or maybe do a Halo 2 type switch between races, this time actually fighting humans for once.

Why do you want to fight humans? I agree with you, but why do we want to kill ourselves in games?

This kid's 14th in Europe. Don't even bother calling me bad.

Only if it fits in well with the story.

Definitly, the main reason I play Halo 2 more that any other Halo game, is because of the interesting Arbiter character, as opposed to the MC, who is cool in all, but it gets boring after a while.

However, if they make a covenant equivalent of the Master Chief, (as opposed to a character with a personality, like the arbiter of halo 2) I will hate the halo franchise.

In the days of old, there were legends of a land long lost to time. This land was known as Ranna'Mor. Ranna'Mor was said to contain in its borders 7 warriors. These warriors had once unleashed a veritable hell upon the ancient world, until they were locked away. My name is Toriad, and I am one of those warriors. Our return is approaching. Do not run away, do not cower in fear; take solace in your final days, for that is all we can do. -Legend of Ranna'Mor

A covenant campaign would be cool. Halo 2 has already shown us that. It would interesting to be shooting at human soldiers this time around.

Awesome isn’t just a word. Awesome is a way of life. Awesome is a way of war. Teamwork matters the most. Lone Wolves jeopardize the missions. Teamwork is key. Resistance is futile. The covenant fear us, not the other way around. We don’t fight for Earth. We don’t fight for Reach. We fight for the good of mankind because we are A.W.E.S.O.M.E. Alpha Wolf Elite Squadron Ordinary Mammals Electrocuted. Click the Homepage.

YES!!!!!! 2 qusetions:
#1:Will you be able to choose between Grunts,Drones,Jackles, and Brutes?
#2:With multiple players, could some play UNSC campaign, and the others play Covenant campaign, and you would work and battle against eachother?

Only if we get to play as,
A, a High ranking Elite Commander
B, The Arbiter of the time
C, a Brute Cheiftan
D, A High Ranking Brute
or E, side missions as grunts, hunters, and jackals

There wasnt an arbiter during reach.

It amazes me how many people voted yes for this poll after the disaster that Halo 2's single player was.

The only way I would ever vote yes for this is if the campaigns were separate (as in not the intertwining character flipflopping bull-blam!- that helped ruin Halo 2), and that the covenant campaign felt different than the human one.
