Oh my God.

I saw a picture of the engineer. It's rigged to a bunch of plasma batteries. Poor guy :(

I know, it made me sad. They were so nice in the books...

Can you please scan or take pics of the pictures in the magazine? I only want to see the pictures of the engineers and such.

you are a good translator
Idiot can be a hard language to learn, but once you get it down, everything becomes so clear! The whole world will make sense to you.

I didn't read the text, but I would assume they are remote detonated as engineers do not like combat.

I think oxm also mentions elites and energy swords.

They say they found Elite corpses from before the blast, and that they had no energy swords.

Why would the brutes ever be allowed to do that? In Contact Harvest, they made it sound like the covenant thought of Huragok as holy! So why are they lacing them with explosives?

Um... Let's see, To kill you?

But the prophets wouldn't allow that. They treated them like relics, and tampering with relics is punishable by death, so what about blowing them up?

I read in the novels that some drones killed a Engineer called Lighter than Some. I don't think they were punished, but they were later killed by a grunt.

Yes, I remember that. But this is more on a massive scale, because they will probably be all over the city. I do, however remember them making ships out of relics and getting away with it, so I guess they can hide it well. Plus, the prophets may not even know, and brutes don't really have that much respect for relics to begin with.

I believe the claims about "gold armored hunters" to be false. It would seem to be a mere trick of the light. There are also shown to be no new or "special" classes of hunter in the stats enemies screenshots. New drone leaders, yes. New hunters, no. I have seen the IGN video showing a hunter and a supposed Halo:CE hunter cannon projectile. However, on closer observation this is shown for what it is - a fuel rod gun projectile. Fired from a standard fuel rod gun.

Looking at the picture in the magazine, it was not light, I could clearly see it to be on their armor.

I read the same magazine you did, and in my opinion it is simply the lighting. But neither of us have any actual factual evidence to support either of our opinions. So believe what you want. But there were no other hunter classes in the stats menu.

I don't see how it could be the light, a lighting on BLUE armor can't make it Gold.

As I said, believe what you like. I'm just offering my own viewpoint here. Just saying neither of us can be adamant because we have no real proof either way.

You do realize that they can have a different color yet still be the same class, right? Take the brutes, for example. Brute captain's are the same class, have the same armor type, and yet they also have different colored armor (blue, red, or gold). They still play the same; the only difference is the color. This can also be applied to grunts and brute infantry soldiers. Just because a hunter has gold armor, doesn't mean that it's an entirely new class. Although after watching the new ViDoc, I think the gold hunter may be able to shoot fuel rod bursts (like in Halo 1) instead of the "scarab-like" beam.

Anyone posting magazine scans will be banned for at the very least until ODST comes out. Discussion is okay as long as spoiler warnings are in the thread title and in the thread where spoilers are present. Anyone quoting the articles directly will also be banned.
