I am The Sapphire Knight

Before I get started I would just like to let everyone know that for this post I am assuming that the Brutes are in Halo: Reach. Not as replacements for Elites but in addition to (More common than Hunters but less common than Elites). I am also assuming Reach will have (for the most part) the same gameplay as the last three games. I am also assuming there is no duel wielding.

Melee: Energy Sword(Fine as is), Gravity Hammer(Also fine as is)

Shotguns: M90A(Halo CE performance with Halo 3 clip), Mauler(Improved range)

Pistols: M6C(No scope, improved accuracy, 7 shots to head), Plasma Pistol(increased damage, plasma travels faster)

CQB: SMG(Good as is), Needler(Slightly larger crosshair, individual needles do damage again when they explode)

Carbines: MA5K(45 rounds, 18 to kill, RoF in between MA5C and MA5B, crosshair of H3 AR), Spiker(Spikes travel faster, slightly smaller crosshair)

Rifles: MA5C(Slightly smaller crosshair than MA5K, Add Scope, no headshots),
Plasma Rifle(Smaller crosshair, 15 shot kill, very accurate when burst fired, plasma moves faster)

DMRs* BR55(5 shot kill for headshots, slightly decreased rate of fire) Carbine(Fine as is)

Snipers: SRS99C(Slightly decreased rate of fire), Beam Rifle(12 shots per charge in multiplayer)

*Designated Marksman Rifle

So here is my idea for the weapons of Halo: Reach(besides rocket launchers).

Any suggestions?

I don't think the Grav Hammer actually had it's gravity altering effects before Halo 1. Or at least from what I read in Contact Harvest it didn't.

For the plasma pistol, it would be nice if it didn't only hurt shields. I mean...it's PLASMA, it should do WAY more damage to armor than it currently does. I agree with the pistol. Semi-automatic would be nice. I don't like when I press the trigger three times in Halo 3, I only get one shot.

SMG needs to be beefed up. And it shouldn't do LESS damage when it's dual wielded. It should be just less accurate and have higher recoil because it's harder trying to stop the recoil with one hand. And the Needler just needs to be fixed. I don't like anything about it, but I also don't know what I WOULD like about it if it were changed around.

I say 20 rounds for a kill lol. But I agree with the rate of fire. And God do the sound effects need some beefing up. The Halo CE assault rifle had so much kick to it, but the Halo 3 AR sounds so wimpy and weak. But since the MA5K is a cut down from the MA5B, is it still an AR or does it turn into a battle rifle clone?

I say the size is fine. I would actually like to see a scope VERY much. Headshots have to be added. It's weird that a BR can get headshots, yet an AR, that uses BALLISTIC AMMO, just like the BR, can't have headshots. I say 12 shots to the head, 25 body shots for a kill. Plasma rifle speed is fine, but again, plasma should do way more damage to armor. I like the burst fire idea. Very, very much.

EDIT: Actually, since you're shooting shields, no matter how many shots to the head, it should take the same amount of shots whether it be to the head OR the body. But once the shields are down, then you can pull off a headshot.

Keep the BR the way it is.

Sniper is fine. I say make it 5 rounds to a clip. And give the Beam Rifle 15 shots.

In my scenario there would be know dual wielding just so every weapon has to stand up on its own.

Well the Reach and Earth were attacked the same year so a gravity hammer doesn't seen like such a stretch.

I think the MA5K should fill the niche the current AR fills now with the MA5C becoming a true starting weapon and should be able to fight back against a BR on maps like Avalanche or even Construct. I just don't think the BR should ever be a starting weapon. It should really be just a more accurate alternative to the new scoped AR. It should serve a similar role to the M14s used in our military to supplement the M16s.

As for the Plasma Rifle I didn't actually mean burst firing like a BR but now that you mention it a 2rd burst PR would be pretty Badass.
