Does anyone agree with me that the initial price of Halo 3: ODST, which is is $60 is a bit too expensive for what were getting. It seems to me that all Halo 3: ODST is another copy of Halo 3, the new campaign, firefight mode, and 3 new maps. That's great and all but I already have Halo 3 and I do't really need another copy, especially for 60 bucks.

Microsoft, the devilishly intelligent people that they are, realize that those who don't have Halo 3 are getting a great deal, while those who do are a little overpriced.

it balances out.

Rule 6: Respect the Admins

“It’s their website, and they can do whatever the hell they like with it. You’re a guest, and hassling them about how they run things is akin to going round your Auntie’s house and curling one out in her tea-pot.”

It is the same price as any other f***ing game that will EVER be released on the xbox 360. If it was 2 hours of a grunt t-bagging a brute it would be $60.

Stop your crying. Alternately: remove youself and your idiocy from the d*** cesspool

Why not stop by my File Share while you're here?

~Long Live Halo 2
Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

Ummm.... let's count the $$ you would pay separately for each item and add it up.

Map pack - $10
Campaign addition - $30
New extensive MP mode - $20
WOW! It's $60 total! NO WAI!

Games have been released for less than $60 before on the Xbox 360. It's very rare, but it DOES happen sometimes.

Except ODST is worth the $60 price tage when you compare it to other same priced games. Look up my Uncharted example.

Destruction has Arrived!!!
(I mispelled the name.its supposed to be KingDestroyer4747!!!)

r u serious? most 360 games are 60 dollars. besides the game is new so it's going to be expensive. but i will be paying less because i reserved mine. : )

jk i just paid some of it i'll pay the rest when i pick it up at gamestop.

OK, I'm going to approach this calmly... STOP VIOLATING MY EYES!

I think all video games are a little expensive, $60 for a few hours of fun, but I guess it makes sense, Dr. Pepper's are $1.59, and with 37 Dr. Peppers, I could get the same amount of time and enjoyment as a game for $60. I bought the $100 version, and I don't regret it, so stop your whining and get a job.

Bungie design lead Joe Bertone described the game as "a three-to-five-hour expansion pack," with cinematic director Joe Staten adding that "we do not view this as a $60 title."
WHAT NOW -Blam!- THats right evn a guy from bungie didn't think it was a $60 title!!!

  • 08.22.2009 8:17 AM PDT

Yes but only because Bungie themselves said that it wasnt going to be full price only for M$ to screw it up for us. But the game still looks awsome so I am still getting it.

As you progress throughout your life you realize that the older you get the closer your are to death, the only thing you cannot change.

You know I am getting really...really sick of peope saying stuff like this.
There are plenty of ways this priece is justified, and I shall tell you because clearly your information is greatly outdated.

There is a campaign that, if you take your time and enjoy it will last about 9 hours, and odds are you'll be playing it more then once.
There is a brand new game mode that has 10 different maps and is not a rip off of anything.

That stuff is just the actual game, however we are fortunate enough to get bonuses that also help justify the price tag for ignorant people.
It comes with a $10 Map Pack
Halo: Reach Beta.

So there is absolutely no reason it is NOT wort $60

That was a year ago and since then they expanded the game much further.

Do your research and ask your mommy for the money.

There are already 100 threads like this and no it's not too expensive. You'd bought Halo 3 too for 60 bucks, and it only had a campaign, online multiplayer, theater and forge. Halo 3:ODST has Campaign, new multiplayer mode (a.k.a. Firefight) theater, 3 new maps, all DLC of Halo 3 multiplayer forge and a Reach Beta. So it's pretty fair to me!

  • 08.22.2009 8:51 AM PDT

it´s too expencive for an expansion.
30-40Euro were ok, but 60Euro (86$) are hard!

It's cheaper in Europe see amazon.co.uk
I pre-ordered it there. It was less then 30 pounds and that's less then 45 euro's!
