Has anyone heard any actual facts about Halo:Reach multiplayer gameplay or are we all left to speculate about it?

My Thoughts
If the game engine is similar to the engines of the past Halo games by Bungie then its probably going to play close to or similar to Halo 3 and Halo 2. However we know that more than likely a few changes will take place, such as weapon balancing changes, speed, and the basics which continue to alter the gameplay of Halo in general. There may also be a few graphic changes to the gameplay also. We saw this with the change from Halo 2 to Halo 3. If you look at the game itself your display is altered and the way which your gun is held is also very different. More than likely however it will probably be similar to Halo 3 in the way it is created and the way it plays.

Personally I look forward to a new Halo game and aslong as its a first person shooter I probably wont have any issues with it. I also wouldnt be surprised if the new game incorporates parts of Halo 1- Halo 3. Also with the success of the Forge it can pretty much be assumed we will see that return. And since the maps such as Blood Gultch(Coagulation), Sanctuary, Ascention, and a few other well known maps from Halo1 and 2 did not have a come back in Halo 3, It would not surprise me if those made a scene in Reach.

Weapons: Weapon set ups will mostly stay the same I imagine. There may be a few new weapons introduced into the game, and some may be replaced by others or completley removed. And as I said before there may be some balancing changes as we make a move from H3 to HR.

What Bungie should be sure to do in this new game. Well with the big hype from Halo 3 in the start, it tended to die down fast as early into the game issues arose, and newer titles offering a little more to gameplay arrived. What I suggest is in the campaign be sure to take your time, dont rush it. I know a few others and myself were fairly disgusted with the last few levels of the campaign. Due to the fact that the backgrounds went from moving to not even looking like a background but just a painting of smoke. Bring a few weapons back to their former glories. The BR is a main asset to the UNSC and is a deciding factor in most battles, boost it a little bit instead of weakening it. The AR however should have a reduced distance and should not have the range of a BR. Dual Needles Please lol. I would also like to see the return of carrying four stickies or Frags.Just be sure to listen to the ideas comming from the community.

Im looking forward to the game guys, Keep up the good work.

And if anyone finds out some information or can add to these thoughts and ideas, feel free to do so. I'll respond to most posts when I can.

Hopefully we will have a greater amount of customization and as well a true map builder on PC and then download our maps to our console.

I personally think we're going to see what happened in the transition from Halo: CE to Halo 2: a complete gameplay overhaul. Bungie needs this to be the definitive Halo game, if it's not, it's going to lose a pretty large fan base. Once something Halo comes out and it's bad, people are going to scramble all over the internet screaming "OH TEH NOEZ! THAY GOTS THE MILKZ IN MAI HALOZ!!!" The game engine is going to get a graphics overhaul for sure and most likely a gameplay overhaul.

I would love to see those maps. I love having a sense of nostalgia from references to previous games.

I don't know what else to type up, but the next issue of OXM is supposedly going to have some interesting snippets of info about Halo: Reach, so look for the latest OXM.

Understandable however it still packs a decent punch at a distance, enough to compete with the BR anwyays. It tends to be even maybe a little bit better at medium range than the BR. This could also be due to the change in the BR to begin with.

Wow great Idea, I would love to see that put in place to be honest. Maybe some snap to items, as those objects tend to be a little flimsy.
