Too often, people post on forums and just regurgitate what they've seen already and don't really explain their own views. - achronos

About That prequel
^^^^READ THIS BEFORE YOU READ THE THREAD, ONLY THE FIRST PARAGRAPHS^^^^

Okay, well if you actually payed attention reading that it mentions that it was mostly glassed by the covenant. okay, now notice how everybody is like "OH, Its a prequel and MC goes back in time and helps his spartan friends." well. lets put it this way. It CAN be a prequel but a sequel to halo 3 could be more likely. and as for the from the beginning you know the end. well that can simply just mean that reach is what caused halo to be discovered (beginning) and Halo reach could be the last halo to feature MC.(end)

Alt. (end) Also Bungie's last Halo game.

No one "thinks" its a prequel. They announced it was, in fact, a prequel.. So.. we actually "know" its a prequel.

BAM!!!!! you just got sniped!

obviously its a prequel. from the beginning( which is reach) you knw the end (halo 3)

  • 08.20.2009 10:37 PM PDT

It is a prequel. And if that is Reach that the Master Chief is near-what is he going to do? What kind of campaign would that make. It wouldn't make sense.

Although on the Halo: Reach logo on the top look at the person on the left-that really looks like the Arbiter. Just look-it has all the body and armor features an Elite and Arbiter would. But then by the torso it looks as the body of a spartan... Soo yeah...

  • 08.20.2009 11:01 PM PDT

Well, not as the Arbiter he wasn't. Now, he may not have actually set foot on Reach, but Thel, the Supreme Commander of the Fleet of Particular Justice, was leading the campaign against Reach, and they followed the lone ship on its blind jump. But that's more of a point of where the game actually begins, if we're going to see Reach pre- and post- the Pillar's blind jump.

In Halo: Reach, the blockbuster prequel to the Halo trilogy, experience the events that transpired on the planet Reach. Created by acclaimed developer Bungie, Halo: Reach will be available in the fall of 2010 exclusively on Xbox 360. As a bonus for Halo fans, Halo 3: ODST will be the key to entry for the Halo: Reach multiplayer beta coming to Xbox LIVE. I honestly don't beleive the "back in time" -blam!- though

you realize it was confirmed by Bungie themselves as a prequel, right?

  • 08.20.2009 11:42 PM PDT

Armor Lock isn't overpowered. You just suck at Reach :)

Reach isn't bad, you're just a BK :)

For my gamertag, look up "Ghoulishtie"

lol, notice after OP tries to be smart, everyone tell him otherwise, and he has yet to respond LOL!

its not the arbiter that is sam chiefs best friends Sam was the biggest and strongest of all the Spartan II's, then kelly the fastest, chief, dont remember his name, Linda the best sniper, she is kind of still alive after the fall of Reach the Chief put her in a cryo tube

As everybody in this forum said:

Bungie confirmed it is gone be a prequel.

So forget the theories.

Ninjabag the tea-pirates!

I don't want to join your group.

Timetravel theories just sound like bull-blam!- to me.

Two 'proclaimed' Arbiters are killed in the battle of Reach and Thel is then a lone Arbiter as I can recall.

Read the book, though it has been a long time...

  • 08.21.2009 8:17 AM PDT

That's terrible logic. Your example doesn't even make any sense.

Because ''From the beginning, you know the end'' is obviously referring to the story.

And plus... It's been confirmed a prequel! XD

~the falcon doesn't hunt just to kill, but to survive~

most everyone (except the OP) has already posted what i meant to say, so i'll just add one little thing.

i believe the "from the beginning, you know the end" line refers to the fact that from the beginning of the halo franchise, we know the end of halo reach

the arbiter wasnt on reach.

If you mean the Elite who was the Arbiter in Halo 2 and Halo 3, he commanded the fleet that destroyed Reach, before being stripped of his rank and sentenced to die as the Arbiter. He may not have ever set foot on the planet, but he was definitely in orbit around it. There may have been a different Arbiter at the time of the Covenant's arrival at Reach, and that Arbiter may very well have been in combat on the planet's surface.

Doc: "i'm a pacifist"
Caboose: "your a thing that babies suck on?"
Tucker: "no dude, that's a pedephile"
Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"

Where did you get that from?

Uhh, i've read that book like 4 times, there is no mention of any Arbiter, let alone 2 of them. I'm pretty sure the title of Arbiter wasn't ever mentioned to the public until Halo2. On a side note, there would not be two Arbiters within the Covenant at the same time.

In regards to the OP, I cannot believe people are still believing this trash about a time travelling sequal.
