My question is simple. Will Halo 2 Vista work on Windows 7.

The reason I ask this is because I've had my Halo 2 Vista for some time but I have XP and WILL NOT change to the memory whore that is Vista. So will Halo 2 work on Windows 7 or will I never play it?

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

Worked on Windows 7 RC for me. Didn't run full-screen for some reason, though.

halo 2 still the best game in the series. long live halo 2.

Dam, I miss the old days playing halo 2 with my old brothers in arms. Thank you my old friends for giving me this account, I shall continue our legacy.

if it doesn't, a patch would be created eventually to make it work.

A patch for H2V? I wouldn't hold my breath.

You expect that Windows 7 isn't a resource hog?

You do realize that it's essentially a remade Vista?

And you do realize that the system requirements for the 2 are the exact same.

It's not going to run as fast as XP. You're using an OS that was built around 300mhz processors (Yes that was the original "Recommended"). It doesn't have the power/features, therefore it's going to run faster and use less resources.

Yeah. That's right. I don't have a 50 in H3. I never got Onyx in Reach. If a game sucks too much, I won't even bother trying for such trivial "accolades". Besides, I've done way more things that take far more skill and talent than anything that can be done in a video game.

Don't bash Vista just because your system blows, funnymann. You'll get told by a good portion of this forum community.

50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

The reason why it is one is because vista caches loads of data into ram. If you put more ram in your pc, it will be way faster than without more ram, as vista can better manage more ram (vista was not designed for 512mb of ram, and even 1 gb is small for vista, 2gb is enough.)
