I want to start off by saying i love halo ODST. I would sell my liver to get it early. But riddle me this, because a large amount of the staff was working on Reach instead of ODST could it have been even better. This is evident by the time betweens the ralease dates of ODST and Reach(hopefully 1 year). Hell they are also working on some other mystery project they have kept under raps for a year. Its evident that the whole production team was working on halo 1, 2 and 3(time between release dates) but now it seems they are spliting them up in different projects.
Any thoughts? Maybe im just paranoid and
1. They have a larger staff
2. They are maxing out the halo 3 engine on odst

Hey guess what!? I play CoD more than Halo, but I'm not an annoying fanboy. I love CoD more, but I like how involved the Halo Community is...

Maybe odst is to tide of over for another year, God h3 its self getting boring and frustrating.

Halo: CE Anniversary Achievement Idea
C-C-C-CANNON BREAKER!
Let Sgt. Johnson die on Halo.

Well, in multiple interviews, Bungie employees explained that since this IS the same engine, they were able to accomplish a lot more in a much shorter amount of time.

So I think the game will be awesome. Even though it hasn't been through three years of development, you HAVE to remember the fact that it has no Player vs Player matchmaking system, so it didn't need to be run through all of that testing.

Therefore, they worked more on the Campaign and Firefight. And I think we all know the 3 newest maps have been done for a while. :)

Bungie is actually very well staffed. And most developers do work on several games at once, it's the only way to stay ahead in this business, when cycles for games could be anywhere from a year to three years.

The fact that they are working on three separate IPs is no big deal, and nothing you should be concerned with. Bungie will make you proud.

i heard on a interview with bungie and the game has been done for a month, there are just trying to get more money out of the game by getting a bunce of pre-orders

A month? The game is been done since E3

i think this should hold us through till the release for Reach, plus the added Reach beta that will hold the community for about a month or more depending on how long they keep it up. The new maps, will get fun matchmaking game types that can come out with the new maps they should hold the community another year with out getting them mad. I just can't wait for ODST and Reach i feel like a kid in a candy store. =D

The Flood Revolution is coming...

I doubt Halo: Reach is done.

There is no way it could be done by now, the multiplayer beta isn't even out yet, and the beta won't be the final version. Also, I believe that they started on the multiplayer before Campaign on Halo 3, so for all we know, they may not have started working on campaign yet. (but since it was announced, they probably have started on it)
