Will the VISR have a battery meter in campaign, in firefight or at all for that matter?

It seems like a good idea because you dont want ALL enemies Highlighted in bright red(which honostly i would laugh at)

Nope, it lasts forever (to our knowledge).

And don't worry, you can turn it on and off whenever you feel like doing so. You're not totally screwed if you like looking at levels the normal way (which, I'm already screwing with my TV's custom display mode to show levels with enough light without use of the VISR).

I don't think the VISR will have a battery function, or we would've heard about it by now.

I always found it ridiculous that the Master Chief's flashlight went dead; he has a fission battery within his suit that can constantly recharge his shields...yet his flashlight goes dead. Fail. Why would an advanced Spartan supersoldier with the latest technology have a flashlight anyway? Surely he'd have something even better than the VISR.

Solar powered Night Vision technology? Are you serious?

Go Rams and Missouri!

Actually, it's solar-powered, so no battery.

And if you are retarded, that is a joke. But the VISR doesn't have a battery, confirmed in many E3 walkthroughs.

Go 2 ign.com and hear in the demo as joe staten says that "Players can keep it on as long as they want but it will not be as useful in the daytime..."

You didn't see that solar-panel on your arm when you were holding your SMG?

Johnson's solar panel is in the hat, it radiates so much awesomeness that he never runs out of juice.
