Sending me a group invite or some kind of other pointless, time wasting advert gets you blocked. Don't bother wasting your time. kthnxbai

This is an idea that just recently popped in to my head, so here goes:

In Halo 3, there are a lot of complaints about cheaters and boosters. I have a simple, yet potentially powerful suggestion that may make people stop boosting: Give them a warning.

How would they get this warning? Well, with Halo 3, you some times get messages like this pop up when you get in to the Main Menu. Well, why not do that with Halo Reach?

Simply pop up a message that says that the user has been caught boosting, and that if they continue, they will face a permanent/temporary ban. If we can prove that the system can detect boosters and the like, then maybe that'll get a lot of people to cut it out before they get in too trouble.

Thoughts?

At the very least, people can't say that they weren't warned.

Here’s what Luke had to say about the differences in treatment between the Spartans and Elites in Reach:

“Instead of piece-by-piece customization like the Spartans, Elite customization is a full model swap with models selected from the various Elite classes appearing throughout the Campaign. There are all kinds of reasons for this, not the least of which is our continued emphasis on the Spartan as your identity in Reach.”

That would be appreciated.

Maybe also add a Halo-exclusive rating system, that mirrors the Xbox Live feedback system but that is much more responsive.

Especially if Theater mode is included, in the carnage report there could be a button press that would bring up a feedback menu. And depending on what people chose, the film of the game would be saved and everyone's feedback towards everyone would be tagged with the film.

For example,

Yeah it could be nice.

Or maybe you need to fill some requirements to play some playlist, like if you are playing team doubles, your teamate needs to be +-5 skill to play with you, not -45 like some groups ( 1 guy is 5 skill and other is 50 skill)
And the Uncle Kulikov ideas too

nice ideas

"Everything works itself out. The only thing that matters is whether you want it to or not."

Last Refuge - Operation Phoenix is in effect. From the ashes, we will rise.

I've found it quite amusing that Microsoft hasn't developed something like that, and neither has Bungie. I'm not saying that they're bad companies, I think they're both amazing, but I thought they would've developed it by now.

Cool idea bro,but I would like to see a system where you can't play any playlist if you have more than -x exp points, that could finish with all the negative exp boosters.

good. you'd get rid of 20 people. now, what about all the other boosters?
and if you go negative because you really suck... since you cant play... what would you do?

I hunt for the Prophet of Contentment, the San 'Shyumm that murdered my son, and stole his birthright, his Energy Sword. They call our species Heretics. They claim to all that our tongues sting, our words a vile poison that feeds on the unworthy. I have seen the true face of Heresy. The head of a gallant warrior lay on the ground. His neck scorched and blistered, scarred by his own blade. I shall retrieve the weapon, and drive it through that bastard's heart! Punishment for his sins is nigh.

It is definitely very necessary to prevent cheating and boosting on Xbox Live, unfortunately this is very hard for Bungie to do, however, the built in "Player Ratings" would definitely be a great way to assist in prevention. An automated banhammer would focus on players who both get lots of bad reviews, AND give lots of bad reviews (so that if a player gives bad reviews to anyone just because they are better than him, he can have his reviewing privileges taken away. While a player who IS boosting, or cheating, can be caught.)
