Subject: Perks

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost,
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

I dunno if this is too unhalo-like but it would be cool if the armor you wore actually effected you gameplay. For example the close quarters suit would boost damage but lower accuracy. Or you could wield the katana. Another thing that would be interesting is perks, like in COD but better.
What do you think?

I'm the cult of personality,
I call it like i see it, if i feel the need to be blunt and to the point, then i will, if i feel the need to be very detailed, i will, im here to stay and im here to do things my way, if you respect that or not is your choice, not mine,
and don't worry, while i don't agree with everyone's opinion, i do respect everyone's opinion.

this is HALO not Call of Duty we Halo Players dont need perks

Hi check out my YouTube vids at M3naceProductions

No, because CoD and Halo need to stay seperate. CoD appeals to realism and rewards you for doing good(perks, kill streak rewards), while Halo appeals to equality and levels the playing field to where theoretically, a 'noob' could stand a chance against a General.

Here’s what Luke had to say about the differences in treatment between the Spartans and Elites in Reach:

“Instead of piece-by-piece customization like the Spartans, Elite customization is a full model swap with models selected from the various Elite classes appearing throughout the Campaign. There are all kinds of reasons for this, not the least of which is our continued emphasis on the Spartan as your identity in Reach.”

Its a good idea by itself.

But when you put it into Halo, it upsets the standard. Now while that can be a good thing, I am uncertain how much these bonuses could be present without upsetting the balance of power between teams, and allow exploits.

No.

Perk's were unbalanced in CoD, they'd be worse in Halo.

You sound like my mate who said "Halo needs to be influenced by CoD."

I'll do the same to you as I did to him.

*Face-Foot* No. I like having the option to play Halo OR CoD, not having the option to play CoD or CoD.

I hunt for the Prophet of Contentment, the San 'Shyumm that murdered my son, and stole his birthright, his Energy Sword. They call our species Heretics. They claim to all that our tongues sting, our words a vile poison that feeds on the unworthy. I have seen the true face of Heresy. The head of a gallant warrior lay on the ground. His neck scorched and blistered, scarred by his own blade. I shall retrieve the weapon, and drive it through that bastard's heart! Punishment for his sins is nigh.

CoD also rewards you for SUCKING. (Juggernaut, Martyrdom, Last Stand)

Biased polls, pointless arguments, and blind supporting, you seem to do it all Crowgarno.

Halo is about a nuetral starting point. From there, players battle for control of various objectives and weapondry. Minor starting differences might be acceptable, such as battle rifle/carbine or assult rifle/plasma rifle, but anything more would change gameplay too much.

Rewarding someone for doing well in a game is a really bad idea, as it well make the game even easier to win for those that are good. It is the most broken concept I have ever heard.
