I'm the cult of personality,
I call it like i see it, if i feel the need to be blunt and to the point, then i will, if i feel the need to be very detailed, i will, im here to stay and im here to do things my way, if you respect that or not is your choice, not mine,
and don't worry, while i don't agree with everyone's opinion, i do respect everyone's opinion.

ever since this was posted by a forum ninja people have been posting spoilers like crazy

here is what the forum ninja posted
As we approach the launch date of H3: ODST, September 22, it is time to remind users of our spoiler policy. As a preliminary reminder, we urge ANY user who truly does not want to see spoilers to avoid coming to any and all internet forums that discuss Halo 3: ODST or Halo 3. This warning, however, does not free other users from their obligations to avoid spoiling the game for others.

Definition

For purposes of the Bungie.net public forum rules, a "spoiler" is defined as any information that reveals details about the game's plot or storyline.

Spoilers do not include common knowledge (e.g., "the Rookie is an ODST" or "you are a human fighting the Covenant") or generalized overviews (e.g., "the game takes place in New Mombasa").

Discussing Spoilers and Alerting Other Users to Their Presence

When others are alerted to the presence of "spoilers," placing them in a post or discussing them does not violate forum rules. But in order to avoid ruining surprises for others who are genuinely trying to avoid them, forum rules require you to place tags on the thread.

1. Spoilers in thread titles will result in an edited thread title and in immediate lock. They may also result in a ban.

2. Spoilers in the text of the post itself are acceptable but must be marked to warn other users.

3. Spoilers without the appropriate warnings will result in locked threads and possible warnings or bans.

Any form of alert and warning will suffice, but here is the way we recommend you tag your thread with spoilers:

* In the thread title please write [Spoilers], *Spoiler Warning*, or similar.

* If your post only partially contains spoilers, or if you are replying to a thread that does not have the spoiler warning in the title, in the text of the post itself, please place the following:

*Spoiler alert* or similar

Type your information here

*Spoilers end*

Enforcement

This will allow those users that do not want to view these types of things such as new maps, characters, etc. to have the ability to avoid them. Users who post spoilers without attempting to alert people in the original post AS WELL AS those replying may be warned or banned at the discretion of the site's Administrators and Forum Ninjas.

This rule will be removed after a reasonable length of time following the launch of Halo 3: ODST.

Okay bye.

I've succeeded so far in not reading many spoilers. I only know very minute details that aren't really that important.

But yes, it does seem that there are a ridiculous amount of spoiler threads lately. I don't know when the thread about no spoilers went up though so I'm not sure that is what triggered the influx. I think it was the OXM magazine.

Well if you're going to read anything that is labelled spoilers (which was sorta being done already even before this was posted up) then you deserve any lost.

It's the same way I ruined Halo 3 for myself... I'll steer clear of the forum... and closer to Rooster Teeth, Veoh, Youtube, and late night TV.
lol!!!
