I've lost the source, and i'll look it back up. But for now you'll have to take my word on it.

Jason Jones has said himself: "Time Travel leads to bad story telling."

If Jason himself thinks time travel is a bad step, why would Bungie take it?

That's all.

Because Bungie transfers bad stuff into good stuff with pink Unicorns?

i think he's right... lost series five went over-board with the time travel (litteraly traveling through time back and forword every 2-3 minutes, some times every 20 seconds) and it ruind the whole thing.

Exactly, Lost was a good show. Then it went overboard with weird ideas.

I hunt for the Prophet of Contentment, the San 'Shyumm that murdered my son, and stole his birthright, his Energy Sword. They call our species Heretics. They claim to all that our tongues sting, our words a vile poison that feeds on the unworthy. I have seen the true face of Heresy. The head of a gallant warrior lay on the ground. His neck scorched and blistered, scarred by his own blade. I shall retrieve the weapon, and drive it through that bastard's heart! Punishment for his sins is nigh.

Time Travel = Back to the Future... = Bad.

Time travel doesn't always lead to bad storytelling. The Terminator series (Well, Terminators 1 and 2 at least) executed it very well, because they had intelligence behind them. And that's what you need to successfully use time travel as a plot device: Intelligence.

Either way, time travel doesn't belong in the Halo series. It just doesn't. The closest we'd see of time travel in a Halo product would be someone being stuck in a fridge for three million years or something. Which isn't time travel at all. It generally falls into the category of being stuck in a fridge for three million years rather than time travel.

Now selling HHDDVVDDBVDs. HD DVDs, but with better marketing.

I do think that the whole Time Travel idea is a little far out. We all want to see John again, but we, as a community tend to see what isn't there.

The evidence saying that both planet's, the one in the Reach Trailer and at the end of Halo 3, are the same is by circles which signify some sort of civilization, presumably UNSC, but that just proves both planet's were colonized by humans and the UNSC. It is just as if you said that United States is the Same as the UK because they have similar lights on at night.

I'm not sure what the human colonists names are so I'm gonna go with UNSC

Blue lights in the shapes of Forerunner letters are not the same as the yellow cityscape lights we saw on Reach. It is not a UNSC planet.

Because Jason is working on Bungie's new IP.

Regardless, it won't be time travel.
