Honestly I think they shuld. Just think being able to get into Wraiths ans Shadows while having a covie sniper and covie shotgun in your arsenal.

yes that would be truly sweet glad u agree

.,.

i dont think so, because in some ways the covanent are more technologically advanced, thats what made the game interesting/different from others i've played and if you take that away it gets boring/repetitive. i also kinda agree though. (dont ask why)

Would be cool, but the Covenant won't be using ANY Human weapons or vehicles in combat. They believe their technology to be infinitely superior to ours, and think ours is very primitive.

Example: (In one of the books) A Jackal's plasma pistol had run dry. Instead of picking up and using a MA5B lying next to it, the Jackal tackled a Marine and fought it hand-to-hand.

U haven't read the books have u? I won't hold that against u but haven't u noticed that the covenant have greater technology. Sure mc will pilot most of the covie vehicles probably, but the covenant are much more powerful than the humans...

I think the weapons should be balanced, not necessarily the same.

Yea, exactly, not equivilants per se, but more of a balancing act. They can't just make up weapons like other games do, or else it wouldn't be halo.

no, because as helljumper said, the covies are already like twice us in technology. but we also have some stuff over them (i.e. the SPNKr).

they have really painful plasma stuff, we've got rocket launchers. they've got stiicky grenades, our weapons don't over heat (save the flamer on Halo PC). see? it all kinda balnces out with strenthgs and weaknesses

p.s. not ALL covies are against humans and human technology. (see legendary ending)

That elite on the legendary ending is a punk teen and a rebel. He hugged a human and was trying to use its weapon. Not a true elite, HE IS A NEWB NEWBIE NEWB.

I put it to you that all the weapons are made up anyway, and it's still Halo.

What they need to do is make sure that all the weapons are equally valuable at some point, that each one has its own tactical use, and you decide what to carry based on what's going on around you. They only really fell over with the Needler in the first one, and that would be quite easy to fix (and actually, having two would give you some lethal covering fire capabilities)

I think all races in multiplayer Halo 2 should be able to use different weapons of all races. If there is a sizable amount of people that want that then I say to put in a option to have that in a session of a game or not.
