No trash-talking players who get owned right after. I guess Bungie can't really prevent it though.

No dual wielding, equipment, and if Elites are in MP don't hunch them over, scale them down to a Spartan's size.

also the ability to use the D-pad to be able to roll to the sides might be nice since chief is supposed to be trained from age 7 he should be able to do some stuff like that

I want balance. I want every weapon to have an equal chance at killing at a decent range without the requirement of a melee or grenade.

Dual-wielding should be like this.

In Campaign the Elites should be about a foot taller than your spartan, but in multiplayer they should be smaller so they have the same hit box.

Besides the dual wielding comment, I agree with you.

Well what you said works as well, I just think no dual wielding would be better.

Yeah but I mean, it is so cool and it is such a great feature.

Maybe dual wielding could be made the way I stated, but you could not do it in MM, only in custom games if the option was turned on.

I would like that, I just think that all dual wielding does is make useless weapons. Both of the things you said used in conjunction with each other would be great.

More Variety. I hope they add another element to the combat like they did with equiptment last game. Maybe some Halo Wars esque air support items. Transport pelicans, bombing runs, ODST allies dropping down, shielding. That would be cool. CoD has done something very simular and it has been very successful.

I would like to see my armor take wear and tear in battle. If i slice someone through with an energy sword i would like to see a rip through their corpse. If i squash someone with a brute hammer... well enough said. Basically I want blood.

Equipment did nothing to combat all it did was slow down gameplay and give people cheap kills or let them get away.

1. Slow down gameplay: Just plain No

2. Give people cheap kills: The whole point of equiptment is too surprise your opponet with something they cant see you have equipped and turn the tide of the battle in your favor. Its an element of surprise. Grenades and Equiptment are perhaps the only things in multiplayer that are truly impossible to forsee from happening during a firefight. Thats what makes them so intriguing.

3. Let them get away: You have never used a bubble shield to escape a sticky situation before? Its amazing.

1. Yes. How can you say blocking off a corridor with a power drain, holding a sniper tower with regen, or stopping the tide of battle with a bubbleshield is speeding it up. Use some logic.

2. It does what its functioned, but you also can't say that if there are 2 players. A just spawned, dying as a result of a betrayal and has not had the chance to pick anything up, B has found a regenerator on the ground. Player A, in a true display of skill gets B to low shields, while still having most of his. Player B then throws a regenerator, and still being a long distance from player A, kills him.
Is that not a cheap kill?

#3 is the same thing as #2 & #1, it is a cheap way of getting an extra kill and it slows down the combat.

I hunt for the Prophet of Contentment, the San 'Shyumm that murdered my son, and stole his birthright, his Energy Sword. They call our species Heretics. They claim to all that our tongues sting, our words a vile poison that feeds on the unworthy. I have seen the true face of Heresy. The head of a gallant warrior lay on the ground. His neck scorched and blistered, scarred by his own blade. I shall retrieve the weapon, and drive it through that bastard's heart! Punishment for his sins is nigh.

Why though? If you don't like Dual Wielding DONT DO IT.

I just want to be able to fight another computer controlled Covenant forces, with computer controlled UNSC forces on my side. They don't have to pick up weapons if they just start out with weapons in the first place. I really believe something like this could be done such as a mod that someone did for Halo CE where a Covenant forces and UNSC forces (and you) fought it out. Now if someone with a mod can do this on a game which is as not as advanced as Halo 3, then why can't the people who make the games do this or do any better?

Actually, you would think, but really it's harder. You could do WAY more with DOOM than you can with Halo. And Doom was released in 1993!

Bungie All Star Contest Winner Weeks 6,8 and 12

No, but seriously, I would love to see more of a focus on Vehicle to Vehicle combat instead of just straight Player vs Player all the time.

I know what you mean, in Halo 3 it just feels like "He who shot first wins" in vehicle combat, something needs to be fixed when that happens...

Still using a pump-action shotgun over 500 years in the future I see.

omg not realistic stop game production plz

Brutes, something I heard Bungie were going to have in Halo 3 but didn't have time to finish them (hence why Brutes in Halo 3 have shields - because they were being prepared for Multiplayer). Maybe for Reach we'll see them as a minor role in Campaign and a multiplayer race alongside Spartans/Elites. They'd need a very slight scaling down and make sure their armour doesn't break off once the shields reach zero. Then they're ready.

I'd also like to see a more detailed and larger scale Forge tool, and possibly some new gametypes.

Gah! This is Tom Foolery!

1. Who the heck cares if it slows down game play? That's what its supposed to do! Get over it. If the game was always face paced all the time, it would be virtually no fun, because there would be no variety in the pace of said game.

2. Cheep kills? I think not, half the time, the people that attempt to use equipment fail in doing so. So if somebody uses equipment effectively to their advantage, good for them! The situation you played out with "A" and "B", was ridiculous, it could happen exactly the other way around. It's all circumstance, if player B throws down the regen, he's a smart player. Player A should find cover...duh.

3. Once again, the equipment is doing what its designed to do. It's not a cheep kill, its playing smart. If you have a bubble shield, you use it to your advantage. Those who whine about somebody getting "cheep kills", have the ability to do the exact same thing. = Not Cheep.

Seriously guys? Get rid of equipment? How about we get rid of the Sniper Rifle, Spartan Laser, Gravity Hammer, and the Shotgun. So as to make it "fair". In fact! How about we get rid of every weapon except for the Assault Rifle! That would definitely get rid of the "cheep kill" problem. We'd get to play a game that lacked depth and variety and virtually the need to have any form of skill.
