I want balance. I want every weapon to have an equal chance at killing at a decent range without the requirement of a melee or grenade.

Dual-wielding should be like this.

In Campaign the Elites should be about a foot taller than your spartan, but in multiplayer they should be smaller so they have the same hit box.

Besides the dual wielding comment, I agree with you.

No dual wielding, equipment, and if Elites are in MP don't hunch them over, scale them down to a Spartan's size.
Well what you said works as well, I just think no dual wielding would be better.

Why though? If you don't like Dual Wielding DONT DO IT.
Good idea there. Except that any dual wieldable weapon is very useless by it's self. I would just like those weapons to function without the need of dual wielding, so by either changing the mechanics or disabling dual wielding.

Equipment did nothing to combat all it did was slow down gameplay and give people cheap kills or let them get away.

1. Slow down gameplay: Just plain No

2. Give people cheap kills: The whole point of equiptment is too surprise your opponet with something they cant see you have equipped and turn the tide of the battle in your favor. Its an element of surprise. Grenades and Equiptment are perhaps the only things in multiplayer that are truly impossible to forsee from happening during a firefight. Thats what makes them so intriguing.

3. Let them get away: You have never used a bubble shield to escape a sticky situation before? Its amazing.

1. Yes. How can you say blocking off a corridor with a power drain, holding a sniper tower with regen, or stopping the tide of battle with a bubbleshield is speeding it up. Use some logic.

2. It does what its functioned, but you also can't say that if there are 2 players. A just spawned, dying as a result of a betrayal and has not had the chance to pick anything up, B has found a regenerator on the ground. Player A, in a true display of skill gets B to low shields, while still having most of his. Player B then throws a regenerator, and still being a long distance from player A, kills him.
Is that not a cheap kill?

#3 is the same thing as #2 & #1, it is a cheap way of getting an extra kill and it slows down the combat.

Gah! This is Tom Foolery!

1. Who the heck cares if it slows down game play? That's what its supposed to do! Get over it. If the game was always face paced all the time, it would be virtually no fun, because there would be no variety in the pace of said game.

2. Cheep kills? I think not, half the time, the people that attempt to use equipment fail in doing so. So if somebody uses equipment effectively to their advantage, good for them! The situation you played out with "A" and "B", was ridiculous, it could happen exactly the other way around. It's all circumstance, if player B throws down the regen, he's a smart player. Player A should find cover...duh.

3. Once again, the equipment is doing what its designed to do. It's not a cheep kill, its playing smart. If you have a bubble shield, you use it to your advantage. Those who whine about somebody getting "cheep kills", have the ability to do the exact same thing. = Not Cheep.

Seriously guys? Get rid of equipment? How about we get rid of the Sniper Rifle, Spartan Laser, Gravity Hammer, and the Shotgun. So as to make it "fair". In fact! How about we get rid of every weapon except for the Assault Rifle! That would definitely get rid of the "cheep kill" problem. We'd get to play a game that lacked depth and variety and virtually the need to have any form of skill.
I agree with you on the point of the Splaser, that is way to easy to use, but I'm sorry, slowing down gameplay is a good thing? You are with out a doubt the only person who I have ever heard of saying that. And it may be smart to use a bubble shield when close to death, but you really don't think that's just a cheap way to survive? If i get the jump on you and clearly win the fight, but you just pull out the old regenerator, how is that fair?

405th Lurker Extraordinaire

I think ODSTs with squirt guns would be hilarious.

See you at the Aftermath!

PsychoSangheili

the tactical map from odst in multiplayer. you could call it up and place waypoints on places of interest that your team could see, such as the location of a sniper, a rally point, etc. you would also be able to see in real time where your team mates were and if they were being shot at, shooting, talking or kia. also if an enemy was in a team members line of sight, you would also be able to see that enemy on the tac. map. i think that it would give the game a more tactical feel, with a tool to organize your team
