2: a scarab is controlled by a really big colony of Lekgolo, so its a hunter on steroids.
3: a super scarab is a hunter on a lot more steroids.
4: they kill UNSC.

WTF?

On Metropolis the Scarab is controlled by Elite drivers.

On GJ the Hunters are on Arbiters side and Arbiter is on Sarge's side so why wouldn't Sarge be able to drive? Arbiter just handed him the keys.

It's just a Scarab. Even if it's a super Scarab like you claim, the worms are Hunters and the Hunters are on Arbiters side and Arbiter is on Sarge's side, so Sarge can control the Scarab. Don't get your butthairs all bunched up over this. If you state facts, prove they are facts.

So are you saying that on Metropolis that the Elites are not piloting the Scarab? Or are you saying the Scarab on Metropolis and Outskirts are different Scarabs than the one on GJ?

But they should know that johnson is the enemy, and if Arbys on Johnsons side, then shouldnt they know that somethings up, right?

All I know is the Hunters changed loyalties when Arbiter did which meant an alliance with the Marines, for whatever reason.

I've just never heard that the Scarabs were worm infested, I didn't read the books and such.

Edit: What I wonder sometimes is why Jackals are on our side in Sacred Icon but not on our side in Uprising and GJ. Grunts are on our side in Sacred Icon and Uprising but they weren't even in the GJ so I don't know how they felt about us there.

Resignation is my virtue; like water I ebb, and flow.
Defeat is merely the addition of time to a sentence I never deserved...but you imposed.

The Scarab's in Halo 2 are mining Scarabs, which are mechanical. The one's in Hale 3 are modified versions meant for combat.

So if the scarab in Halo 2 is comepletely mechanical, then it can be piloted by anyone.

While the Jackals were part of the Brute expeditiary force, they didn't regard the Arbiter as a enemy, due to the fact that the elites and brutes didn't officially declare war at that moment in time.

As for the grunts sudden absence in the GJ, that was because they all converted to the Seperatist side, hence you mostly encounter Brute forces, along with elite and hunter prisoners, as for the grunts inability to assist the Arbiter on that level, they probably thought it was suicidal to come into a heavily fortified Loyalist controlled area.

The original plot for the last levels with the Covenant, was that Elites, Grunts, and Hunters sided with UNSC against the Brutes, Jackals, Drones, and Drinol's/Shar'quoi?.

In Halo 3, however, the grunts and hunters mysteriously betray the Elites, and the Drinol, along with most of the scrapped covenant species were turned into flood pure forms.

What are Drinol????

They were a Covenant race that was going to be put in the game, but they were taken out because they were too powerful. http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Drinol

Interesting. I always just thought the little buggers were wiped out by the Brutes. Given their long standing fear relationship with Elites, Grunts wouldn't naturally side against against them in a deployment situation. But the home planet and communal Grunt species overall - it decided to stay with the old Covenant.
Jackals, being on the Covenant payroll, made sense. Hunters though...Hard to say what/why they think. (Maybe Bungie just wanted to keep some of the old feel.)

When you see the Scarab power source, it clearly contains the same material that makes a Hunter. Prior to Halo Wars (haven't played it yet), a Bungie rep acknowledged someone pointing that out. Maybe the worms serve as a "nervous system" - united under the 'common conscience' of the Scarab's controls.

Now I'm cornfuzzed. You mean the Scarab guns power or the Scarab itself? I don't see the relationship between worms and either. I've been inside the gun to the source and it is just a bright light. I don't know where the engine of the Scarab itself is, maybe I'm having a brain glitch. Underneath? I don't see anything in the control room where Elites and Brutes do the navigating.

He's reffering to the Halo 3 Scarabs, which were operated, and controlled by lekgolo. Halo 3 scarabs have a (lol) exposed reactor, that powers the scarab, as nesteggfailure said, you can see lekgolo worms intertwining with the reactor.

As for that mechanical "shopping basket" of a scarab in halo 2, my guess, is that the glowing underside is the powercell that powers the scarab.

Queen is awesome.

HERE IS THE FACTS:

The scarab on halo 2 was a mining scarab. It was not built for combat and was controlled by a pilot. The combat scarabs (like in halo 3) were built for combat and were controleed by the worms.

Edit: Sorry didnt read whole thread I see he was corrected.

Sarge didn't have to kill anyone, there was nobody on board the Scarab. Heh, he was supposed to be a prisoner (on the Scarab docking area) but his hands were not even tied. Stupid Brutes.

I think he threatened to take off his belt, and the older Brutes knew exactly what that meant. The Hunters finished off the younger ones.

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

The Scarab in Halo 2 is controlled by Sangheili drivers, not Lekgolo worms. The Super Scarab is only in Halo Wars, Halo 2's Scarab is a mining Scarab.
