How in the ^%$ do you get past the first main room inside the Covie ship? There are like 15 sword weilding elites and I could have a hundred marines and still lose!

Is there any strategy to beating this? Its the only level I havent beat on legendary so far.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Yeah - save your sniper rounds from the assault on the grav-lift - they're very useful for killing elites and taking down their sheilds. Also learn to duck into the rooms the covies come out of.

yeah sniper is your god saver on legendary should also be good enogh and smart enough not to thorgh plsma nades at the elites with swords becuase they'll keep running at you and take you down either with the plasma nade or there sword. Also this may sound sad but use your marines as cover dont worry about them dieing enless iam wrong you get a fresh new group soon after that.

Use the plasma pistol/AR combo on elites.

I'll try some of those, thing is, you get so overwhelmed with the amount of grunts/jackals that you dont see the sword elites come in and murder EVERYTHING! lol.

I have to say, this is the hardest level in the game on legendary. Any other level is cake!

T and R is annoying because of all the close-quarters combat.
I recomend ditching the AR for a plasma rifle if you haven't already, it's far better for taking out shields. When those sword elites come in, strap a plasma grenade to their forehead, do anything but from a distance. Sniper is key later on when you enter that control room area and you see two of them camoed. You can easily pick them off.
Yeah, the sniper rifle carried me through that level completely. Stand at the end of a corridor or in your case, the room, and start scoring some headshots. The marines are pretty much worthless except as a distraction and as bait. It's a challenge to just keep one alive through the whole level!
But yeah, that's the hardest part of the level, memorize what door is gonna open and through a nade in quickly and spray the surviving grunts/jackals and the elites with downed shields with your plasma rifle.
Good luck!

also, use your motion tracker to see which doors your enemies are coming out of, that way, as the door opens, you can chuck a nade in there.
