I don't think stosh edited it. I think the actual guy who wrote it did it on purpose for a humorous effect.

MadWhiteFish, with an A for the 4 and an E for the 3.

You are not a 16. You are not a 25. You are not a 30, and you are not a damn 43. You are a person, and you sound like a moron.

Nope. If you go its source site, you can read the actual version. And on HBO, they refer to Stosh's as the "sanitized version"

Hmm. Really? Didn't see the HBO version. I'll talk to stosh about that sometime soon, if he ever gets on Live . . .

Actually, Stosh didn't edit it. I read it before it was posted on the front page when it was still on these forums and Achronizing Gas(name?) had all of those things in there originally.

By now, many of you have read the sanitized version of 2old2play's satire. It was posted here by a local mod, Stosh, and he opted to censor the following line.

"I thought he was [homophobic reference], but into kids? That's sick!"

So I ask, if this potentially offensive word should be censored on the front page, why should it be allowed to remain rampant on these forums? I'd like to see a "-blam-" in place of this word.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

Whats the word that offends you?

They word -blam!- shouldn't be censored.

People can be -blam!- and be happy, people can be -blam!- as a preference for romance.

It's only offensive when used in a derogatory way.

Yeah. Censoring the word could be seen as offensive.

Aha! Just as I suspected. Ms. Nancy was the masked cereal thief. That's your last bowl of Cocoa Puffs for life! Oh yeah, I also suspected what stosh just said.

What? I don't see how any one could find that offensive, being a British person myself. It would be like censoring the word "Yank".

Is there any possibility of having "liméy" removed from the -blam!- filter's list? Honestly, it doesn't make sense to have it on there; it's not offensive at all.

Go yank your Crank!

Lol. That reminds me of Blackadder:
"Sir, can i look up 'turnip'?"
"Turnip isn't a rude word Baldrick"
"It is if you sit on one"

Sorry. Couldn't resist.

The whole censoring issue is interesting. Ultimately, it's up to Bungie to decide what they do and do not censor.

They should make the filter an option turned on by default.
