in a halo 3 multiplayer vidoc bungie said they designed the ar to tie in with grenades and melee. i think thats a poor choice of weapon design. the ar or any gun for that matter should be independent of grenades and melee. you should only have one of each type of grenade. that way it stops these nubs from spamming 'nades and actually shoot. the ar should be little more powerfull and have 60 ammo per clip. melee shouldnt knock out shields, its rather nuby tactic to shoot a few ar rounds and then melee. thats how it should be in halo: reach if its multiplayer is anything like previous halo games. it should be gun based. grenades only usefull for dealing with groups of enemies or damaging enemeies behind cover
dont critisize anything i just typed. all of these thoughts come from playing several hundred multiplayer matches and i dont suck at halo
