I was just thinking....

If Reach is Bungie's last Halo project, then does that mean that after Reach is released, Bungie will leave Halo and not make any DLC for Reach?

Signatures are for squares.

No.

What? Did Bungie left Halo 2 and 3 after release and didn't make any DLC for it? No.
That means Bungie would make DLC for Halo: Reach after release.

Bacon

They will probably make some DLC just as they did with Halo 3.

Bungie is a money hungry company. First of all i doubt this will be their last halo project, theyre gonna keep milking us for every penny they can get. But, if this is their last halo project, then there will probably be a mountain of DLC to climb......

I think it's a little early to be thinking about DLC for a game that won't come out for another year.

In the days of old, there were legends of a land long lost to time. This land was known as Ranna'Mor. Ranna'Mor was said to contain in its borders 7 warriors. These warriors had once unleashed a veritable hell upon the ancient world, until they were locked away. My name is Toriad, and I am one of those warriors. Our return is approaching. Do not run away, do not cower in fear; take solace in your final days, for that is all we can do. -Legend of Ranna'Mor

Unlikely. Chances are, a small team at Bungie will continue to work on DLC, or work with 343 Industries on the DLC (in the way that 343 works with Robot Industries for Halo Wars DLC).

You make it sound as if it was a negative thing that they go back into their games and rework on them, augmenting them. I wouldn't say it's a mountain of DLC to climb. More like a mountain of DLC to pick apart and eat like candy. And it tastes like candy. Not like rocks.

My metaphor is better.

This kid's 14th in Europe. Don't even bother calling me bad.

Simile.

Hey. Pull my dongle.

Cmon, just one time, you big baby!

Possible, I mean, if they make DLC for it, they'll eventually have to stop at some map pack, and leave Halo to start a new game series.

Well, it's not as though the whole company is going to work only on the DLC. with Halo DLC, it's small team while other teams worked on future games. When Reach comes out, a small team may work with 343 Industries on DLC while the rest of the Bungie squad works on whatever their new IP is going to be.

Doc: "i'm a pacifist"
Caboose: "your a thing that babies suck on?"
Tucker: "no dude, that's a pedephile"
Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"

I would imagine that there would at least be something, though I don't think it would be nearly as plentiful as what was had for Halo3. Then again DLC dev may be taken over by 343 studios within MS depending on what happens between Bungie and MS.

I'm also thinking of the new IP. And if there will be DLC and sequels for that one. And whether it will be an FPS. And what other delicious DLC there will be for ODST (maybe). Besides, it is better than speculating about stupid theories, like getting to play as the dead Spartans (as in, dead BEFORE Reach) Samuel and Malcolm....

Well, with the way games go these days, I'm sure there will be DLC for future Bungie games. As for ODST, it's possible, though I'm not sure how likely. It's a expansion to Halo 3, but I wouldn't mind seeing dowloadable firefight maps.
