It's short for "Newbie" meaning, "New Player." It is used exclusively by players who've apparently forgotten that without exception, they were recently "noobs" too. Anyway, it's a general insult and it's often applied in the following context - "Noob-Combo." Referring to Plasma Pistol and Battle Rifle combo, which is far from a Noob combo. In fact a real noob combo would be one Needler and a handkerchief.
see, this is a 100 % proof why you bungie people lack halo 2 pro's.
son, battle rifle and plasma pistol is refred to ''noob combo'' because only the weak, unaccurate, dirty little noobs use it, the sad thing is that you guys didnt reach the point like me where you can actully dodge that -blam!-. if you play in a pro's game and p shoot, your actully gonna get owned because at pro level, we are fast enough to tell when your gonna shoot it.
every play with pro's?? and when i mean by pro's i only mean like 5 people including me.. in all of halo 2, so dont get me wrong.
I reached level 35 in ts like a ferrari, you can tell that from my ratio, and i could of easily reached 40. but sad thing is 50 % of my friends quit this game because of how unbalanced it is.
Spoken like a true moron. I love how people cry about a simple combination of a plasma pistol and BR, a.k.a. "newb combo". You people must really suck. There are much more lethal combos than that. For example: plasma pistol/melee, plasma pistol/brute shot, duel-needlers/BR, all of which are instant kills. I personally lurk around confined areas with just a plasma pistol and then I melee. The trick is changing positions so people don't know where you are. You get alot of spawn kills this way too.
P.S. If you were a "pro" you wouldn't be crying over combinations. That's called a CONTRADICTION! If your a pro then ACT like one. Just remember if your calling someone a newb, it probably means your getting owned, and if your getting owned by a newb then what does that make you?
