I think there should be because it would be more realistic because every soldier in every army is always trained and told to take cover behind ANY support, it would just be common sense. Also because it would be fun. So before u guys say anything i have already asked this question and some people have asked some questions in the past that i just want to clarify, No crouching is not a cover system because number one if your crouching out in the open its not going to do any good, and number 2 some thing might be smaller and even if you crouch you might still get shot. Next, if u take cover with an energy sword its not bad at all but if your being bombarded by rounds then just wait for a guy stupid enough to get near a guy with an energy sword and just slice him.

Corn, Oil, and Wine... We need more wine...

It's called the left analog stick, use it...

But seriously, just crouch... A real soldier cannot see over the cover, unless he looks...

didn't you already make this thread?
On topic: no, because its not Halo-ish it would turn the gameplay into Gears of War with battle rifles

Warning: You may find that my, or someone else's opinion does not comply with yours. Side effects of disagreement may include (but are not limited to): flaming, irrational behavior, broken keyboards, and/or nervous sweats. If you experience any of these symptoms refrain from communicating with others until the symptoms have subsided.

In this way only: When you back against a wall you actually look like you are "backing against a wall" therefore looking like you are taking cover. Other than that just crouch behind something.

Ownagee

I don't think it would be a good idea. Most games I know with a cover system base they're levels on having random sandbags or little wall-forts, and it looks ridiculous. Plus it would probably lead to a lot more spawn killing.
