If a Halo: Reach is a pre-quel to Halo CE, does that means we won't have rechargable sheilds? (I never played Halo CE or 2, so I don't have much knowledge in the Halo world.)

Yes we will have rechargeable shields, and anyways the event's on reach LEAD to the event's of Halo CE.

There are shields but they recharge slower, you also had more health in Halo 1. There may be fall damage again, too (like ODST also has).

There might in campaign, yeah, but I highly doubt fall damage and slow recharging shields will be in multi-player. Most of us know that multi-player isn't canon, so things like fall damage, and slow recharging shields need not apply. These things make the gameplay more slow, which, lets face it, sucks.

Also, I wouldn't count on super pistol being in multi-player either.

Which is exactly why I, and plenty of other people still enjoy Halo: CE LANs more than we do Halo 3. Actually having to think tactically on maps like Hang 'Em High, or Boarding Action instead of "Oh, the Sniper Rifle spawned, let me just jump three football fields down to grab it instead of weighing the possibility of losing all my shields and having someone blast me in the face.". Halo 3 seems to encourage a whole new level of being at the right place at the right time.

Heck, in my opinion more often than not they seem more fast paced than Halo 3 ever did. Health and slow recharging energy shields were never as issue seeing as movement speed was quicker and it wasn't almost guarunteed you were going to get a headshot off with Halo: CE's pistol thanks to small hitboxes.
