As you progress throughout your life you realize that the older you get the closer your are to death, the only thing you cannot change.
My idea is a new system for energy shielding, when you spawn or respawn your shields have nothing wrong with them, are full and work perfectly for Mark V, however once your shield goes down and goes back up several times there will be some differences, such as the shields get slightly weaker over time, and eventually do not work at all, also they can charge slower to.
This would not be after once or twice this would be after a long time this would happen, after say 10 times in one life your shields going down to 1/4 of what they usually are, and then they start getting a slower charge, and it would take a lot of stuff to make your shields weaker, and you would probaly have to have at least a 25 kill streak to make your sheilds non existant.
This idea would make Sprees harder to get and make it so that a guy with a shotgun camping somewhere would also be easier to take down over time(seeing as how people can get a small amount of damage in on someone like that)
The weapons that would be easiest to do this would be
Plasma Pistol- Easiest to do this with and is capable of all 3 in 7 fully charged shots at one person within 42 seconds of each shot
Any weapons made of plasma
AR
Magnum
BR(if it's in)
and most weappons that do not use pointy projectiles(like Spiker and Needler) would be able to as well.
I also wish there would be three different bars on your HUD, one for shields, one for health, and the third would be where your armor is damaged the most and it would be color coordinated.
Green- offers lots of protection
Yellow- Offers some protection, however is beggining to get damaged
Red- Offers slight protection and is critically damaged
Invisible- Offers almost no protection at all.
Each body part would have something like that, the body parts would be
Head
Torso
Legs
Arm
To match this new armor, I would also like to make the armor more and more damaged the more critical it's state is.
What do you guys think of this idea?
