Oh and about it being unbalanced. If this idea would make the game so unfair because of exploits and stuff, but the BR is so unbalanced, than why do you play Halo 3 but hate this idea? What you call "exploits" are just players finding what combonations work well together. What's wrong with that? It makes the player have some strategy and intelligence when they play.
Because you don't have to like a certain implement to like the whole game. Just like you don't have to invite more issue just because there is one already. You can call it what you want, but they are exploits of the system in place. The BR is the only weapon that performs consistently well outside of it's intended range, and it is also easy to use, as such it is the most frequently used weapon. Spawn camping/trapping is an exploit of the spawn system that leaves your opponents in a typically unfair situation. More often than not the only people that refer to these things as strategy and intellegence are the people that utilize the exploit. Just the PP/BR combo in Halo2, an animation glitch that was exploited to great effect. Instead of fixing it Bungie implement "combo training" playlists where all there was on the map was BR's and PP's.
The balance issue isn't the sole fault of the BR, but the way the BR is implemented does poorly effect balance. The way I look at it is why open the door for more balance issues when current models of a similar system are full them? I don't hate Halo3 by any means, but that doesn't mean it isn't without it's flaws.
