Subject: Project Natal, good or bad?

I mean, I understand they want to utilize Natal but the thing is, when I think of Natal with Halo:Reach, I see me playing Halo with the Wii Balance-Board. Any comments?

Natal should be in Reachs campaign, and that's it.

I dont like natal. I think it's another way for people to pay money to microsoft since you need to buy a eyecam thing or something like that so it can read your movement. Come on this war with the wiii is getting out of hand lol get it.

I think Natal has tremendous potential, but that doesn't mean that it should be shoehorned into every game possible. One of the biggest shorcomings of the wii is that few title make great use of the motion controls, while several implement some watered down feature that makes the control scheme seem gimmicky. Natal is just as likely to have this happen unless they develop for it carefully.

I would not earmark motion controls for any shooter, or any game that requires precision, whether it be aiming, driving or anything that can be turned competitive. Natal has it's place, but that place isn't everywhere.

Warning: You may find that my, or someone else's opinion does not comply with yours. Side effects of disagreement may include (but are not limited to): flaming, irrational behavior, broken keyboards, and/or nervous sweats. If you experience any of these symptoms refrain from communicating with others until the symptoms have subsided.

Although, I do think it should be incorporated into an FPS at some point, I don't think reach should be that game. I also don't expect Natal to release until Christmas 2010. Because we all know what Natal means in Portuguese... Wait... What's that, you don't? Oh.

The Wii can support first person shooters, as Metroid Prime 3 is a great game. While they take a little while to get used to, the controls are great as well.

However, the Wii still uses a controller, while Natel doesn't use anything.

*Imagines self trying to hold air-assault rifle, and pulling air trigger, after throwing air grenade*

That doesn't sound relaxing or comfortable at all. Espicially if you think about crouching.

Seriously, Microsoft saw how well the Wii selled, so immediatly after the Wii came out, the 360 all of a sudden turned into a "family" product. They're even trying to make Xbox Live okay for families as impossible as that seems. This just seems like another way for the 360 to take over the Wii's fanbase, and I don't want any of it.

Well put, I think natal could have its place in Reach, as something optional of course.

lol^^

I dont like it. I don't know why, I just think it will either be too much of an advantage for the people with it than without, or it will be slow to respond to your movements even with the slightest bit of lag.

natal is good for certain games. halo is not one of them. this is why fps on the wii tend too suck.

The strongest Rivals are also the strongest allies.

I don't want Natal to be in Reach in any way. This at 7:47 - 8:20 pretty much sums it all up.

I do not want project natal in there, I like to play my 360 from the side, that would cause me to move to my couch or move my table and stand. A lot of people play Halo in their rooms though, most peoples rooms aren't big enough for that (Not saying that they are tiny though).

If there was a choice to enable project natal in the options I would love it. If it was manditory, I would not buy Halo: Reach. I don't think Project Natal would be a good idea for Halo, not thanks.

Edit: Also agreed with the person before me and the dead pixel, we don't want to look like hyper active little school girls. If people just want to sit, that's they're choice, they can go out and get exersize. IT'S NOT THAT HARD. If they don't want to, don't. Keep the controller.

Edit 2 (Yes, very fast I know): If you think sitting on the couch will kill people. Think about what making over weight people jump around will do. Don't try fixing what's unfixable.

I have the wii and i gotta say that the xbox is better. they shouldnt try to incorperate the wiis motion sensors or the ps eyetoy into the xbox because it would ruin it. it would be nearly impossible to shoot accurately using natal while still keeping the skill-required control that halo has. it should be a stricktly controller game.

Have you played a racing game on wii that uses the wii racing wheel? It is terrible when you need to make precision changes. Metroid Prime 3 is a fantastic shooter on the wii, but as another guy mentioned that is becuase it uses a controller as an IR pointer, and it works very well. With natal there would be no point of reference (hypothetically of course). Unless they are going to put something in your hands for the camera system to reference, how precise do you think you can be with natal?

Well have to see what happens, but I still believe that something like natal doesn't fit in games that require precision.

Too often, people post on forums and just regurgitate what they've seen already and don't really explain their own views. - achronos

the only thing I can see natal doing for reach and people liking is taking you face, rendering it to h3 graphics and bieng able to change the polarization in you helmet.
