Eternal Mk I, as previously mentioned, is being released this weekend, at 8:20 AM PST on Sunday July 25th, at http://eternal.psyjnir.net/. However, there has been a change in plans: I am, for technical reasons, no longer shipping a single cross-platform package, but instead will ship several packages for different platforms.

I had hoped to have the Windows port done the same day I finalized and uploaded the OSX version, as I understand it's a fairly simply process, but the person who was going to do that won't be around for a while, so I'm seeking another PC-using Marathon player with enough experience that they could download Eternal, port it the the SDL version of Aleph One, test that it runs properly, and reupload it somewhere that I can mirror the files from.

Thanks a ton to whoever volunteers...

Pfhorrest, if I had any idea how to port it, I would.

Sorry, Forrest, if I were a PC user, I'd be glad to help, but there you go.

Can't wait for Sunday! :)

I'll try - what do I need to do?

I've got a mac and a PC. I can DL it on my mac, copy the files to the PC in the correct formats and test it (if that's what you want). I haven't done any marathon modding in a long time, but I am familiar with how marathon works. I've also got some limited webspace where I could upload it for a short time. Might be a good idea to ask fileball.net to host?

Ok, Smeeisqualityfoo has graciously helped to port the files that should, theoretically, make Eternal work for Windows. So I now have a request for essentially beta testers, to take the files he made, stick them in Eternal, and see if it works; and if not, see if you can tell me why and/or how to fix it.

In short: Download this, then stick this and the contents of this in there, replacing any same-named items, and see if it plays.

Thanks all!

Before I do this, you'll have to fix the last link. ; ) Also, if I'm the one to do this, Can I have recognition in the credits in future versions of Eternal?

That's the third link, now fixed.
