Wait a second, SLD said that the game doesnt support Anti-Aliasing but on I turn it on in the Catalyst Control Center and can notice a big difference in Halo. What gives?

Full settings, 1600x1200.

I just wish it supported anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering - those can really make a game look amazing.

i have tried anisotropic filtering, and everything looks nice at 16x sampling rate or whatever.

and about the command line argument for shaders "-use11", the plasma weapons look dark purple and crappy. "-use14" is a faster shader, and there ins't much of a visual difference from the 2.0 shader.

Thats not specular. The lower the resolution, the harder it is to see camopeople. Also some cards don't render it right. AA and AF aren't in the options menu is what he meant by not supporting.

Yeah - exactly what I meant. You shouldn't have to go out of the game to enable a graphics feature, unless the developer's really didn't consider it.

It does say to not use AA, though, and I have noticed that there is a terrible performance drop. It also bugs out the game a bit.

AF, if it does in fact work I'll enable it. At larger resolutions it makes everything more realistic.

Usually if you right click on your desktop and go to settings -> advanced, there's a tab or a few for your graphics card - if your drivers came with a control panel you can go there, too. I think the nVidia one has options for setting AA and AF in a side menu.

As for the support, I don't know, but judging from the frame rates you would generally get from it, it'll just bog you down. Both anisotropic filtering and anti-aliasing chew up a lot of video card processing power.
